Deviant With a Big Defect

Chapter 9

   "Oh kriff!" You shout as Anakin all but pulls you into his body to keep the wall from squashing you. As soon as the dust settles Anakin rips the helmet off your head. He starts looking for any damage and sighs in relief when you're unharmed.

   "Snips a little warning next time?" Anakin complained and Ahsoka crossed her arms defiantly.

   "Well, I saved the two of you didn't I?" She said and you huffed.

   "Do you really want MY criticism of your performance?" You ask her and Anakin raises a brow in question. "We gonna blow this place or are we gonna continue staring at each other?"

   "Yeah. Did you at least plant the explosives?" Anakin asks in exasperation.

   "Yes, I did." She says with sass.

   "Then what are you waiting for?" Anakin gestures for her to do it and she does. "What criticism would you give Ahsoka about her performance Captain?"

   "You disobeyed orders and ran ahead putting you, your general, and me in danger. You tripped their alarm system and once again ignored orders and triggered more droids. You only managed to clean up the mess you made." You spoke in earnest causing Ahsoka to seem angered.

   "You're not even a Jedi-" She started but Anakin cut her off.

   "She isn't, but she has the experience where you don't. Learning from the clones would be beneficial to you. They have trained for this their entire lives." Anakin spoke.

   "Besides this is the perfect learning opportunity. Take what you did wrong and learn to correct that behavior. Everyone makes mistakes when they're new and learning. Remember Commander... Lessons must be learned, not ignored." You said and she looked at you curiously.

   "What was a lesson you learned the hard way?" She asked you.

   "I wasn't fast enough." You told her and her eyes drifted over your scar. "It's worse than it looks. It goes from here to here." You gesture the pattern that Dooku cut you. "But at least the General and I have matching missing arms." You joke and he chuckles. "Well I'll com Cody and let him know we're ready for extraction. I have a feeling it's time for a teacher-student pep talk." You left them to themselves and quickly com'd Cody and he told you a transport would be en route shortly. You sat down on some concrete debris and waited. Anakin and Ahsoka sat down next to you as you waited for the transport to arrive. You boarded when it touched down and your group was off.

   "General Yoda has requested that the three of you meet up with him and General Kenobi." The shiny in the back with you says and you nod. Anakin and Ahsoka chat quietly and you focus on finding your zen. When the gunship is close enough to the ground your group is hopping off of it and onto the ground. You follow behind Anakin and Ahsoka as you approach Obi-Wan and who you assume is Yoda. Obi-Wan motions for you to take your spot next to him and you do as told.

   "Good to see you conscious, it is." Yoda says and you look at him confused.

   "Master Yoda was present in the hangar that day. He saved your life." Obi-Wan clarified and you nod.

   "Thank you for saving me, General." You say to him and he waves it off.

   "Thank you I must, for protecting Master Kenobi and Skywalker." He says and you blush.

   "It's my duty." You tell him and he turns to his fellow Jedi. He starts going over the details of the new assignment and he stops when he's finished briefing the three Jedi.

   "Go with Obi-Wan, you will. Act as a bodyguard, you must." Yoda says and you nod

   "Yes, sir." You respond and Obi-Wan gestures to a ship not too far away. Your eyes lit up as you looked at the ship and Obi-Wan smiled lightly.
