I didn't think much about me having a choice, until him. It was weird, because sometimes I wondered if there was an alternate ending to this ending sequence. Turns out there was one, it just takes one choice & turn it into a whole new life. But, I wasn't ready, and honestly I didn't even know what I wanted... nor what I felt. On one side I wanted to run straight into E.N.D's arms and just stay there forever, and on the other one I wanted to see what it would be like if I had chosen Gray... Life's too complicated at the moment to even think about love, we're also at the brick of the entire world shifting due to the witches wanting to take over and become the new leaders, but there needs to be a balance.
"Your thoughts are too loud..." I heard an all too familiar voice say behind me. I sighed. "My bad..." I responded somewhat sarcastically. "You know, you don't have to necessarily push me away to get closer to him..." I turn my head and look at him, "I haven't spoken to him either." Is all I say, voice croaked and tired. "I know, you've pushed us all away... but it doesn't have to be like that with me. I'll be the protector no matter your choice." I huff. "I don't want protection, I want freedom: from all of this." He sighed. "You can have it, if that's what you choose. But, there is a price, are you willing to pay it? Sacrifice something big for it?" He said firmly. I raise a brow. "Go on."
"You need to kill me, and make sure I don't come back. That's the only way we all get free of this damned destiny and it's repetition. You've got choices, you've always had them. You were just never sure of them, and that's why we're in this loop. You can't run away forever. Make the choice, and make sure it's one you won't regret." He said in a low tone. He steps closer. Onyx green eyes glowing, "what do you feel? And don't say you don't know, because I can feel it." I inhale a sharp breath. "It's not anything good at the moment, and I'm not going to make decisions based only on what I feel. You're a ticking time bomb, and I'm your balance. We're good when alone, but together-" he cuts me off. "Together we're an explosion... but you have feelings for the cold one. And those haven't gone away, not even after centuries passed. You've got along with hiding those, except from me. I'm not going to be angry, but decide what you want and make sure it counts. Because I frankly am tired of being woken every other decade waiting for something that will not happen. You're free to feel and to do as you please, but be firm on your decisions and don't think about the what if's, 'cause those won't get us anywhere. This precise moment is proof of such indecisiveness." I nod in agreement. "All of us want to be set free as much as you wish to be, but there's choices to be made, and we're running out of time. Just, promise me one thing?" I lift my face and look at him one last time, "make the decision that will give you not only happiness, but peace. Can you promise me that?" I nod, "that's a promise I can keep." I respond confidently.
