"Yo, we're coming at you live from Camp Wawanakwa, somewhere in Muskoka Ontario." A man says as he suddenly pops up in front of the camera. The camera then zooms out a bit to show more of the background and the man to the audience.
"I'm your host, Chris McLean. Dropping season 1 of the hottest new reality show on television right now." Chris continues as he grins to the camera.
"Here's the deal, 23 campers have signed up to spend eight weeks right here at this crummy old summer camp. They'll compete in challenges against each other, then have to face the judgment of their fellow campers." Chris says as he walks along the dock, explaining everything to his audience watching at home.
"Every 3 days, one team will either win a reward or watch one of their team members walk down the dock of shame." He explains while gesturing to another dock that connects to the one he's standing on. "Take a ride on the loser boat," He chuckles for a moment. "And leave Total Drama Island, for good."
The scenery changes and it now shows a clearing with stumps arranged as chairs. An unlit bonfire in front with some kind of podium on the side where three sticks with marshmallows on it are resting on top.
Chris then pops out from the side and continues where he left off. "Their fate will be decided here at the dramatic campfire ceremonies where each week all but one camper will receive a marshmallow." He says as he takes a stick from the podium and proceeds to eat said marshmallow.
He swallows it once he's done chewing and carelessly throws the stick somewhere behind him. "In the end, only one will be left standing and will be rewarded with cheesy tabloid fame," He subtly shows off three magazines with him on the cover. "And a small portion which let's face it, they'll probably blow in a week to survive." He says as he shows the camera a treasure chest filled to the brim with coins, jewelry, gems, and other stuff.
"They'll have to battle black flies," The scenery changes to show lots of flies as a hand aggressively tries to swat them.
"Grizzly bears," The camera zooms out a bit to show that the hand trying to swat the flies was actually the paw of an angry bear who then roars at the camera.
"Disgusting camp food," It now shows a bowl filled with what looked like worms. One big worm directly on top suddenly says "Hey now." in a deep voice when Chris mentioned disgusting camp food.
"And each other. Every moment will be caught on one of the hundreds of cameras situated all over the camp." The camera pans and proceeds to zoom in on some cameras within it's sight to further show how well hidden each camera are.
It then goes back to Chris whose small smile never left him. "Who will crumble under the pressure? Find out here right now on,
