Just a normal day consisting of playing smooth jazz on the trombone and school work. The weekends were those days when McKinley could relax and dream all day if she liked. While most girls her age were sitting at each other's homes talking about drama and boys, she was at home, playing her trombone.

The trombone is quite heavy and for a small girl like her, it makes it much harder to play. Kids teased her telling her she could never be what she wanted to be and that was the most fabulous trombone player in the world.

Lights flashed as the sound rolled over the audience like silk, the most fabulous trombone player in the world. Smooth notes spread around the room and the light in the people's eyes sparkled, simply like diamonds. As the tune ended the crowd cheered and cheered for her as she walked of the stage. Her beautiful green eyes darted across the room taking in all the applause. The sound filled her ears as she drifted

To
Sleep.
