I entered the college with an impatient glance. Searching for an empty space , I parked my car and took a deep breathe.
Relax. You're used to this . Why these nerves now ? Go and show 'em some hot girl.
I grinned. Of Course I love to get the eyes on me. I reminded myself . Keeping myself neutral, I came out. But , they say it's hard to stop the smirk coming on your face when you know that the whoops that sound are for you.
I went straight to the the class , found my seat and began reading my book. It was pretty good if you ask me but I know that people will say that it's too immature of me to be reading this book but,the hero is very hot . I swear that I can feel his hotness radiating off the pages.
" Hey that's my friends seat you're sitting on bimbo." Maya spoke.
"Oh really! May I ask who that friend is?" I asked sweetly smiling.
Maya gaped at me before coming closer to take a proper look. I let her turn my face according to her examination before laughing on her face.
"God ! The look on your face is priceless Maya. " I laughed.
"Aditi, is that you?" I nodded. She laughed along.
"Your mother did make you wear those clothes yesterday ? Didn't she?"Maya questioned. I rolled my eyes.
"Of Course she did Maya " I said as a Matter-of- fact.
Suddenly she snatched away the book from my hands.
"Hey!" I attempted to take it back.
"Is this yours?" She asked.
"Yeah! Why?"
"Because I swear that I saw Aaryan having the same book."
Really! I am surprised. Aaryan reads. That's news to me.Maya noticed my expression and laughed.
"Yeah I get that look a lot."
"Is Aaryan your brother?" I dropped the bomb on her. She hurried over to my side shushing me with haste.
"Why are you behaving this way?" I inquired.
"Because no one is supposed to know that I am his sister. We kept it a secret in the school." She whispered.
"Why?" I asked again. She groaned.
"You ask too many questions. Study now." She slid into her seat. Another boring class. Hope I stay awake.
"Aditi wake up. Come on. The trustees are on their patrol around the college. Get that heave head off the desk women." I was being nudged awake by Maya. I opened my eyes groggily.
"Let me sleep." I yawned.
"I did for the last fifteen minutes. Now get up, they might be just round the corridor." She hissed. I ignored her. Then I heard a tearing sound. I tried sleeping even then but then a felling of dread filled me. I opened my eyes to see pages of my novel laying in front of me. I looked at them with sadness and then focused my fury on Maya.
"How could you?"
"You were not waking up." She shrugged.
"So you tore down my novel?" I was imagining myself strangling her to death. She kept the half torn novel on my desk and turned to rummage through her own bag.
"Here it is." She gave me a novel. I looked at it flabbergasted. My novel. I flipped through the pages and then stopped on a random page and started reading. I turned page after page continuing my book as if the teacher was not teaching anything. Then at the end of the chapter, I saw something written,
'Priya Loves Aaryan'
I cleared my throat. Maya looked at me and then at the page. She let out some wordless sounds and then made movements to grab the book but I slid it further near me.
"Nuh-uh. I am not giving it to you now. You tore down my novel. I am going to keep it now." I said showing her the book. I kept it in my bag.
"Fix mine or get a new one for me or keep that new one for yourself. But if you want this one back then get one for me whichever way you want to." I slid the bag over my shoulder as soon as the bell rang.
