Aonung's POV:

I woke up the next morning to Neytiri softly rubbing my shoulder. "Come on, today is visiting day." I gave her a look of confusion. 'visiting day?'  "We are going to visit Neteyam." My eyes widened, with anxiety filling my chest. It's not that I didn't want to visit in a resting place and see him through the tree of souls. I was just afraid that once I was there, I would never leave.

Neytiri noticed my fear as she placed a comforting hand on my shoulder and gave me a very motherly look. "Do not be afraid. It will help heal you." I highly doubted that would heal me. But I didn't want to argue, especially with Neytiri. She was a very scary Na'vi. So I just nodded my head, taking deep breaths in hopes of calm my fears.

(For the sake of the ff, let's pretend Kiri doesn't get a seizure when connecting to the spirit tree.)

A few minutes later, I met the family outside the pod. We all walked to our Ilu's and swimwings, and we rode out to the spirit tree. We all took a deep breath and dived into the water. We swam until we reached the spirit tree. Each takes our queue and connects it to one of the leaves of the tree.

I closed my eyes and let the tree take me to what seemed to be a cave. More specifically me and Neteyam's cave and I have. I looked to see the body of a forest Na'vi laying on our makeshift bed. Tears began to spill from my eyes. "Neteyam?" I whispered. I walked closer to see his beautiful resting body. I smiled as I quietly laid down next to him. staring at his sleeping features. I brought a hand up to caress his cheek, but he disappeared. Soon enough, the scenery started to disappear, and I was thrown back into reality.

I gasped inhaling a shit tone of water as I quickly swam back up to the surface, immediately coughing it all up. Soon, the Sully's began to surface. All have the same expression on their face. "Something is wrong!" Kiri exclaimed. "Yeah, the spirit tree kicked us out!" Tuk pouted.

"Aonung, did the same thing happen to you?" I nodded my head to Jake's question. "We should go back and ask my mother. She will know." I stated as we all headed back to the village.

*******

"I do not know." My mother said. "Mom, you are Tsahik. How do you not know?" I said, beginning to grow irritated. " Yes, I am Tsahik, but there are many things of Eywa'eveng* that I do not know of." My mother stated calmly. "Perhaps too many people were trying to speak with the same spirit at once. Or maybe the great mother is trying to tell us something. I do not know."

I stared at the floor before my mother picked up my head. Holding it delicately in her grasp. Her apologetic eyes looked into mine. "It is okay, mother," I said, giving her a small smile.

No one's POV:

This strange disturbance in the spirit tree kept going on for three months. Eventually, the Sully's and Aonung stopped visiting the spirit tree.

They took this weird disturbance as a sign. Maybe the great mother or Neteyam himself was telling them to stop and move on. And so that's what they did.

Slowly, they all began to heal. The pain of the beloved forest Na'vi was still there, but it was growing to be bearable. Something they could live with.

Aonung began learning from his father, preparing himself for the role of the next olo'eyktan.

Finally, for Aonung, things were beginning to become normal. Well, it's almost normal.

"Mother! It's happening again. " Tsireya called out. Ronal ran in to see her son having yet another... episode?

Aonung was passed out on the floor, not moving while his dots went haywire. Flashing hazardly like a ticking bomb.

No one knew what was causing this. He would be fine one minute, and the next, he is dizzy, zoning out. And then, passing out seconds later, his body lights up like a disco ball before flashing. They used to last for a few minutes, but over the past weeks, they've grown longer.

Ronal was using whatever Tsahik knowledge she knew to help her son. But never in her life has she seen something like this.

After about ten minutes, the flashing stopped, and Aonung started to gain some consciousness. "Mother? Sister?" He said groagily. "Welcome back brother, you scared us there." Aonung sighed. "It happened again?" Ronal, with a sympathetic smile, nodded towards her son. "I'm sorry, my son, I wish I knew what was causing this so I could stop you episodes."

This time, Aonung gave a sympathetic smile as we weakly placed his hand on him mother's. "It's alright. I'm sure we'll figure this all out soon. "
