He was familiar with this room. FATHER called it THE CLASSROOM. Whenever he misbehaved, FATHER took him to THE CLASSROOM. It was a room deep in the basement with containing a singular desk glued to the floor with belts attached to the desk. He received a large amount of LESSONS here.

Sometimes, he would LEARN about KNIFES. Sometimes, he would LEARN about HOT KNIVES. Sometimes, he would LEARN about ORGANS. All the BLOOD and the TERRIBLE SMELL. He didn't know why his blood smelled terrible. Maybe it was a reminder of the terrible life he led. If you could even call it a life.

He had been leading this "life" for 20 years. Almost every one of those 20 years was absolute hell. He does remember one day that wasn't hell. It was back in the 3rd year.

FATHER had taken him to a big tent called "the circus." This "circus" was the best. He doesn't remember much. He does remember one thing distinctly. The clowns. Oh, the clowns. They slipped on banana peels. They pulled pranks. They failed to catch other falling clowns. And they made FATHER disappear. In FATHER's place, sat Dad. Dad. He liked Dad. Dad was fun. Dad was cheesy. Dad was nice. Dad loved him. And he loved Dad. Dad was goofy. Dad gave him piggyback rides. Dad made terrible jokes. Good old Dad. Dad didn't stay forever, though.

The very next day, he asked for another piggyback ride. That was a big mistake. Dad had left. FATHER had come back. He had forgotten about FATHER. He had forgotten about THE CLASSROOM. He needed to be RE-TEACHED. He was subject to another LESSON. It didn't matter what he LEARNED. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back.

He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted Dad back. He wanted...

He wouldn't get Dad back. But he would try.
