Chongyun usually never has time for friend let alone making then. That is until he met Xingqiu.

Xingqiu was the kind of guy who was friendly when you first met him and after knowing him you get trapped, therefore turning Chongyun into the victim of his pranks.

Despite this he looked up to Xingqiu and trusted him whole heartedly.

Today would begin this little thaumaturgists quest to find a beast that can stand his yang energy.

-------

"You know maybe if you... no that won't work." Xingqiu strokes his chin.

"What won't work?" Chongyuns eyes widened before he realized that his yang energy was acting up again.

"OH! It's nothing, just a thought on how you might finally get to defeat an evil spirit."

"Really?" He asks composing himself regaining control. He pulls out an ice popsicle to cool down his body temperature.

Xingqui nods.

"If you can't reduce the effects of your yang energy, what if you sought out an evil spirit that is immune to it?" Xingqiu responds with a smile. "Infact, I can give you some insight on where you could go."

At this moment Chongyun was so overjoyed he could have bound off the walls. Could have, if there was walls where they were. So he did the next best thing. He grabbed Xingqiu's hand and dashes.

____________

Xingqiu nowadays says he is busy and instead sells him hints. Which Chongyun eagerly buys.

Then Chongyun would deduct which ones he felt sounded more like spirits.

Today Xingqiu didn't give Chongyun information when he offered a bag of mora to him. Instead he denied it and dragged poor Chongyun down to where a crowd of people stood near a makeshift stage.

There at the stage was a girl prepping for a performance. Her lyre was oddly shaped and had a blade attached to the end.

He was almost compelled to go up to her ask ask where she got such a crazy looking instrument from.

Little did he know that she noticed him long before he entered the crowd with his friend.

_______

She started up her performance strumming up beautiful sounds on her fashioned guitar before accompanying it with her voice.

The guy disappeared from the crowd. She figured he was one of those types who think her music was just noise. She wasn't surprised in the slightest. He seemed like he didn't get out much anyway.

But she was truly shocked to see him at the foot of the stage. He seemed to be saying something but over the sounds of her jamming she couldn't hear what he said. It will have to wait.

Even more shocking, she hears a voice singing beside her and she turns around the boy is up on stage with her singing his heart out.

Never has she had seen someone so passionate that they got on stage with her. Usually they can't handle the flames of her music-making.

When her show was over the boy staggered out of view. She decided to put her things away before the millelith chase her out.

A heavy presence appears over her back and she quickly glances back after finding out it was just the boy who surprised her very well. His head was coddled up on her shoulder.

"Why hello there." She says. "My name is Xin Yan. How about you?"

"Chongyun." He says.

"That's nice." She responds she takes his arms from around he shoulders and drapes him on the stage.

She gathers everything together and then looks back at Chongyun, surely his friend was somewhere. Plus she had to get to Wanmin restaurant to help taste test some of the new recipes Xiangling is trying out.

"C'mere." She tries her hardest to lift him off the ground. She gave up. Thankfully his friend returned for him.

"Thank Rex Lapis. Can you take him home? He seems a bit tired after jumping on the stage with me."

"No problem." Then the friend and Chongyun both disappeared.

Xin Yan ran over to Wanmin soon after.
