Princess Treatment

Annabelle

Finding a quiet spot in the library we set our things down before she moves her chair to face mine head on. 

"From the start" She demands, clearly excited to hear about my news. A blush forming on my cheeks I open my phone to show her my followers list, Elijah's name standing out from the rest. As soon as she saw his name her eyes widened, a hand slapped across her mouth to stop her from screaming. 

"Yea so that happened, we went out for lunch, nothing is really going on it's just i dunno...friendly?" she stopped silent screaming to give me the deadest look. 

"Don't even Miss Anna, I saw the way he looked at you, he totally wants to fuck your brains out!" She whisper-yelled. Slapping her arm I shake my head profusely trying my best to deny her very well supported argument. I haven't ignored the looks he's given me, the small attempts at flirting hoping I'd reciprocate. I'd love to, but, and especially, since I kissed Damian it'd be damaging to their friendship. Oh yea, the kiss.

"Um Emma, what I'm about to tell you, you really cannot tell anyone. It would ruin his career." Well at this she straightens her posture and gives me a sly smirk but I know I can trust her. 

"Go on mi amore" 

"I may have kissed Damian." Looking at my hands clenched together I wait for her response but instead I am met with silence. After a little while I look up at her to see her slightly confused. 

"As much as I'd love to be excited for you, I don't remember you mentioning a Damian?" Oh shit yea, no first names and all that.

"He may or may not be known more famously as Professor Morozov." She's gone. Out of her seat she's jumping up and down like a child trying to be as quiet as possible not to break the quiet atmosphere. 

"Oh my God, I can't believe I missed this, when? how? Please you have to tell me everything!" Chuckling at her acceptance I'm relieved she isn't disgusted by my actions...or should I say our actions? I don't really know at this point. 

"Well Damian took me to his house. I got comfortable on his sofa, and then he was behind me, words were shared I can't really explain it. The vibes were right shall I say, and then it just happened? I know it's wrong okay Emma, but all of my worries, thoughts even my hunger it just disappeared when he kissed me."
"Oh then we went out for a McDonald's after we burnt the food...since you know the kiss"

"A MAN WHO WILL TAKE YOU TO MCDONALD'S! GIRL YOU GOTTA KEEP HIM!!" both laughing I'm grateful to call her my best friend. Someone to confide in when it's too much to internalise. 

"In all seriousness though Anna, am I right in thinking you also have the hots for Professor Cunningham?" 

"Is it obvious? It's bad right? I shouldn't like him right? What's even worse is that I follow him on social media! A professor! Ugh" She looks at me sympathetically but still the hint of her earlier burst of happiness present.

"No Annabelle, It's not wrong. Well, actually yea no it isn't wrong. Clearly they both like you and you're responding to that in any way a normal girl would. I'm telling you as your best friend, if you want them, have them." Her words stumped me. The room was filled with complete silence. Processing her words I start nodding my head slowly as she starts turning her chair back to the desk. 

"Go grab the books you need gal, we have a lot of work to do if we want to go out tonight." Smiling at her I make my way to the rows and rows of books in the dark waiting for someone to trip the automatic light sensors. 

The light flickers clearly broken, now deep into the library there's dust on most of these books. Damn people really like online library's huh. As it flickers off and back on again I feel a presence behind me that I hadn't felt before. As I go to turn my head the figure cages me between them and the bookcase with their arms. Noticing a tattoo on his hand that feels familiar I turn around with what little room I have left to be faced with the man from Maria's cafe.
