Chapter 38

Rahul and Shrey followed them and stood outside the house as Ram closed the gate before they enter inside the house, Nisha was shifted to a room in the farmhouse with all the facilities, her room wasn't lesser than a hospital room. Ava converted Nisha's room into a proper hospital room.

"How? how can she talk? , and show hand movements." Rukmini asked.

"Change of place aunty as the doctor told, remember.?" Ava said.

"I know that but..." Rukmini stopped when Navisha entered the room with Ram, Aarav and Krish.

"Why can't you guys just accept the thing? , that, akka is improving and the sole reason is Rahul." Navisha said.

"Maybe." Ava said.

"Bullshit, I'm not letting him inside the house, remember he is married." Ram said.

"I don't care if he is married or not, if akka is improving then I want him to be around akka, that's it." Navisha declared.

"Navi , please there are a lot of problems between the families, we don't want another one." Rukmini said.

"I need to go, I have night duty in hospital, if she woke up in the middle or something call me Or Dr Krish is there to take care." Ava said.

"I still have one year to go, I'm going home tonight, but don't worry I will explain everything to Navi, she will take care." Krish smiled, Ava went out, and Navisha went behind her.

"Listen, I didn't see her responding through my eyes, but I can see improvements in her body so as the doctor said it may be the change of weather, the weather of her own city." Ava said.

"Don't worry, I booked a cab, it will be arriving in a few minutes, until, I will talk with Rahul." Ava opened the gate and went out and saw Rahul standing under the street lamp and it was almost dark, she started walking towards him furiously and stood in front of him and gave him an angry look.

"Beat me or kill me but don't give me that look." Rahul said.

"Do you have a cigar.?" Ava stood beside Rahul.

"I don't have, Shrey do you have.?" Rahul asked his brother who was sitting inside the car hearing music.

"I'm just a 22-year-old, so no." Shrey said.

"You left her alone there, you idiot." Ava punched Rahul's arms.

"Ahh, please understand me yarr, I was trapped, left with no option." Rahul said.

"I understood you that day, when I saw you and your wife come to our hospital for the surrogate procedure, you looked so uninterested," Ava said.

"Stop calling her my wife, I don't consider her as my wife, I don't want to discuss about her, what exactly happened to Nisha?" Rahul asked.

"When she was admitted to the hospital, there was too much blood loss and multiple injuries and her legs are fractured, she was shifted to Mumbai for better treatment from Bangalore, because Rukmini aunty's friend was a doctor there." Ava said.

"But she had few injuries not much big injuries when..." Rahul's voice cracked and he wiped his tears.

Ava patted his back "She is still weak, she needs you, if you are there she will get better, but your marital status and family problems are coming between all this." Ava said.

"Why is she brought here, not to her house.?" Rahul asked.

"Her both uncles and her aunty are still angry with her, inhumane people, prestige is important for them, more than a life." Ava said and her cab arrived "Ok, bye, I will come tomorrow morning, let's meet if you stay here." Ava sat in the car and went from there.

"Bhai, anyways we are going to stay here tonight on the road, so I'm ordering food, do you need anything.?" Shrey asked.

"Order anything." Rahul folded his arms across his chest and stood there looking at the house, he saw Aarav and Krish leaving the house.

Everyone was having dinner, and Naksha came there tensely "Someone call Rahul, it's raining, and he is not picking up my call."

"He will be fine, you no need to worry." Purnima said.

"But aunty.." Naksha said.

"Naksha, you know about him, this is not the first, he is staying out, Shrey is also with him, so don't worry." Kanika said.

Gopal finished his food and went to his room and called Aarav, Aarav picked up the call "Hello dad."

"Where are you.?" Gopal asked.

Rukmini was talking with her doctor friend on a video call "Sheela, I can't believe this she responded." Rukmini said.

"This is the tenth time you are saying it, I told first only that her eyes are searching for a particular person, only that person can improve her condition and maybe the weather is also a major factor, because it's her birthplace." Sheela said.

"I wish it was the weather, we can't think of a second option, it's too risky for her and the family." Rukmini said.

"If she is improving then don't think about anything, just do what she wants." Sheela responded.
