Supernova Part 1

      

Bone was trailing through the rocks, swiftly running through the jagged sharp rocks without missing a step before reaching the end. " time!" Oral said in a cheerful voice, clicking the stop button on the stopwatch."What was the time?" Bone asked Oral." "32.78 seconds which was one second off from your record." Oral said writing the time down on a whiteboard. "If I can just get my talons on a rock and push off with enough force I can jump most of those rocks," Bone said in a disappointed tone. "Well still that was extremely close to your record!" Oral said, trying to cheer Bone up. "Still though, I want to reach that 20 seconds," Bone said. "Stop bringing yourself down, you always do this!" Oral said in a sneered tone. Before Bone could snap back, a bright light flashes behind them. Bone analyzed the figure coming out of the portal, it was Oryx. "Hey Oryx!" Oral said cheerfully. "Hello Oral," Oryx said to Oral, taking her clipboard out that had multiple papers and pictures clipped to it. "I have the pictures the satellite got from that object," Oryx said, flipping through the papers on the clipboard until she found the pictures. "It's actually quite surprising." Oryx said. "Let me guess, Space Junk?" Bone said, calming down the tone she had before. "You think it's always space junk Bone." Oryx said in a joking tone. "It's actually some kind of space station." Oryx said. "That is Space Junk?" Bone said. "I will claw the three moons out of you Bone." Oryx said in a mix of joking and serious tone. "Stop acting like your brain got clawed out Bone. Oryx is our best observer and scientist on the team" Oral said. Bone glared at Oral but looked back at Oryx to see that Oryx was giving the picture to Bone so she could take a look for herself. Bone analyzed the picture looking at the positions in the stars and looking for the Magellan Constellation to make sure that Oryx was not trying to pull a joke on her. Bone kept looking at the picture looking at the station. It was a little bit blurry but Bone could make the shape of the station out. "So you're telling me this station has two rings orbiting it and the main part of the station is a sphere?" Bone said. "Is this another joke Oryx?" Oral said. "No," Bone said, "The Magellan Constellation is in the picture and Soran-57194, they are in their correct positions." Bone said, shocked. "Well shouldn't we go explore it?" Oral said. "And get a bunch of space alien dragons mad at us, not what I want to do." Oryx said. "Hey, I killed off half the entire Canyonwings population in a different universe, who says I can't fight off aliens." Bone said wanting to go and explore. "Fine," Oryx said, "But just keep your killer behaviors under control." Oryx said to Bone. "I don't want us to start a war with an unknown tribe." Oryx said. Bone rushed to the space suit bay. The Airlock opened after Bone and Oral put on the suits and headed out to investigate. "Testing Suit 1..." Bone said through the communication radio in the suit. "Got you Bone" Oryx said back with the radio on the station. "Suit 2 communication status check" "Got you Oral" Oryx replied through the radio again."ETA status?" Bone said through comms. "Checking..." Oryx said "Suit status 1 and 2: Oxygen line ONLINE, Life Support ONLINE, Communication systems ONLINE, Status good to go." Oryx said "Roger that" Bone said. Oral and Bone began to move to the station and saw the station clearly for the first time. "Three moons... This station is definitely abandoned" Oral said. "And destroyed.." Bone said looking at the station that was broken apart and had a lot of blown up walls, scorched sides from the star it was orbiting and the broken sphere in the middle. "Status?" Oryx said moving to the other screen, "Just about to enter now- Guys get out of there now!" Oryx said cutting Bone off panicked "Why?" "There are massive energy spikes hitting our radars!" "Is the ship firing back up?" Bone said, slightly panicked. "No! The only part on that ship could replicate this energy is the hyperdrive and it would have been seen like a volcanic eruption! It's a dying star!" Oryx said panicking "Bone looked all around and saw the star. It was pulsing? Bone knew that the star would go supernova at any minute. "It's going to go supernova!" Bone said, grabbing Oral and rushing back to the ship. "Don't turn on the shield, it will block us from getting in when I say turn it on TURN IT ON!" Bone roared at Oryx. "Got it Bone!" Oryx said. Bone got Oral on the ship and got into the latch. "TURN IT ON ORYX!" Bone roared through comms making it static for a couple of seconds but Oryx knew what Bone was trying to signal, Oryx slammed her talons down on the button enabling the shield. Before the shield could fully activate, the star went supernova.Bone got thrown to the other side of the helm before she could get into a seat and strap herself in and passed out.
