The birds chirp, just about reach sunhigh. It was a windy sunny day, not many clan members around the middle of camp.. but surrounding the med den as the clutter of voices get louder. "Let me see him!"Move!" "I wanna see the precious boy!" All voices yelling at once. "Alright alright everyone get back and give the queen some space here!!" The medicine cat would yell over the cluster of yelling. "I know everyone is excited for the new kit, and soon, warrior to this clan but, you all need to keep your composure!!". The leader stepped in through the crowd to stand beside the queen and the tom. "Sorry AntStar.." A warrior infront would mutter. "It's quite alright, just -" AntStar had stopped from speaking when the kit started making small mewing sounds in the paws of its mother, everyone yelled in Awh. The kit turned over to be faced upward, showing off their slick, black, and yellow/green and white pelt. "Wow..hes so pretty!" A warrior in front whispered yell, the apprentices stepped through to look at the kit. "Awe, he's so adorable!!" A she apprentice yelled aloud, "calm down BarleyPaw. It's nothing to freak out over.." A quiet, moody tom apprentice said. BarleyPaw gasped, as another apprentice spoke "Eh I agree with TigerPaw, but still..he is cute." TigerPaw groaned as the leader spoke to the she queen, "so..what did you name him?". The queen and her mate exchanged looks to each other before one spoke, "EelsKit." The father replied back to the leaders question. "Welcome to HemlockClan, EelsKit.." Antstar muttered. A few moments later, the med den was empty. It was night and quiet. Everyone sleeping.
Besides the nursery.. "Alright CloverAsh..I know you need to look after EelsKit, but we need to go sleep." The father would say as he would take a seat besides Clover. "I know, FalconHail.. I just love him..hes so precious." CloverAsh stared at her son in awe.
"Heheh, I get it, hon, but none other than him needing sleep.. we do, too." FalconHail said but followed by a yawn as he walked back to lay down in the moss beds, quickly going to sleep. CloverAsh had been staring back at her mate before looking down at EelsKit, smiling..then spoke "Goodnight my little Eel spark.
She rested her head near her son and went to sleep.
Some moments after, the sun slowly started to rise. The leader Antstar had already been out of his den, awaiting for his clanmembers to awaken from their slumber. He'd sit in front of the Poison Rock. His deputy had sat next to him. It was silent for a couple of moments before the deputy spoke, "So..what do you think about the new kit AntStar?". AntStar was silent for a bit after the deputy spoke, then he'd let out a yawn and replied back, "I suppose he'd be a good member to this clan. Hopefully, he's at least got some charisma, and..power maybe." He'd say with a grumble, "Ugh if not, I'll get em out!-". "Now, now dont get ahead of yourself, WolfFrost. Maybe he'll be good. We'll just have to wait until he's a warrior." AntStar sighed as he watched his clan members walk out their dens, starting to eat. CloverAsh walked out the den holding EelsKit.
FalconHail walked up behind, going up to CloverAsh as they padded to the prey pile, EelsKit had been mewing, and his eyes slightly opened.. but they were squinted. AntStar had been staring near CloverAsh and FalconHail but gave a couple of glares at EelsKit. WolfFrost would be staring to him. He did a slight huff before AntStar spoke. "Go and eat WolfFrost." WolfFrost looked at AntStar and started to pad to the prey pile to take a couple of bites of a squirrel. After a while, some of the apprentices were hanging around goofing, and some of the warriors went up to their apprentices for training. EelsKit would be slightly dragging himself along the ground as he was curious to his camp as he had never seen it before, EelsKit finally started to try and stand but he started falling over forwards, knocking his head into a small rock and fell over it. CloverAsh realized and ran over, "Oh my starclan!- EelsKit, my baby!" CloverAsh ran over and picked up EelsKit to look to see if he had any injuries. She went to give him a few licks when FalconHail ran over. "Is everything okay?!" He'd ask as he had run up beside CloverAsh, Clover sighed and said, "Yes..EelsKit just had a little accident, but luckily, no injuries." FalconHail sighed and picked up EelsKit and padded to the nursery to watch over EelsKit, CloverAsh sighed too and looked at the rock EelsKit had bumphead into and noticed something strange. There was a small crack in the rock. How did a small kit make a crack in a rock?.. .
It was almost sundown, and everyone was ready to head to bed, FalconHail and CloverAsh were sitting and talking with the other warriors and EelsKit was sitting alone staring at the sky with wide eyes but no expression. One apprentice walked up to EelsKit to say hi, "Hello! You must be EelsKit, I'm CinderPaw!" The tom spoke as he gave eye contact to EelsKit. EelsKit was strange and said nothing but stared at CinderPaw with little expression, CinderPaw got nervous and laughed awkwardly before backing away. "Uh..heh..okay..nice..meeting you?-" He'd say and then walked off. EelsKit did a small huff before CloverAsh had picked him up by the scruff, "C'mon EelsKit..its time for you to go night night." CloverAsh had started walking to the Nursery with EelsKit, then FalconHail sat up to follow her, giving the warriors they were talking to a goodbye.
"That kit is..strange.." CinderPaw had said as he sat down with a shiver. "Huh? How?" BarleyPaw looked at Cinder with a confused look, "He just..stared at me.." BarleyPaw and TigerPaw exchanged looks in confusion before TigerPaw sighed and spoke up, "For one..hes a kit, of course he's gonna stare and not speak.."I know, but like..it was a very unsettling stare..it creeped me out.." BarleyPaw sighed and patted CinderPaw on the back, "Don't worry about it, he was probably nervous..he doesn't really know any of us yet!" She'd say with an enthusiastic tone. "Mm.. I guess.." CinderPaw huffed. "Let's just go and sleep, I'm getting tired." TigerPaw had randomly spoken as he already stood and walked away to the apprentice den, BarleyPaw and CinderPaw quickly got up to follow him, then disappeared into the apprentice den. The clan was silent, no one around as they all slept, but something..or someone strange had been around.
"That kit.. they were talking about might be the one." A low voiced cat had spoken, staring down into the camp..then another had spoke "Perhaps, maybe he can be useful to us..he doesn't know anything yet so he doesn't know whats good or bad." The other cat had done a nod with a slight laugh, "we'll get to him when we can. We just need to wait for the right time."
