Sage's POV
We get to Robby's place and we go in, this beautiful lady is standing in the kitchen along with Johnny. I mumble "how did that win that beautiful lady?" Robby mumbles "we have the eyes, we can win over grandmas." I mumble "they just get you every time" shaking my head and he chuckles. He kisses my forehead then saying "hey, dad. Hey, Carmen." Carmen says "who is this sweet boy, Robby? He's so cute" and I smile and Robby says "this is Sage. My boyfriend."

I smile and Carmen says "Johnny and I were talking about you and he's bad at communication, so I'm gonna say it. We were talking about since you two are committed to each other that maybe we could go out to dinner tonight with your parents? Like all together? He's just trying to be his best self toward Robby and this is the idea we came up with."

I say "that is so sweet, let's do it. My parents don't have plans. I'll text you." He wraps his arms around my waist saying "I'll miss you?" I say "is that a question or a statement?" He says "a statement." I say "I love you" kissing him and he says "love you too, bug." I say "give me an hour" and he says "I can do that" smiling and I peck his lips saying "bye." I go to my house to tell my parents.

I get home and I say "mom, dad, can you go to dinner with Robby's dad and his girlfriend along with Robby and I tonight?" Mom says "sure." My dad says "do I get a say?" Mom says "no" smiling and I go up to shower then do my hair and we all get ready. Mom comes in saying "too much?" She gestures to her dark red sheer material romper and I say "no" and I show her the dress I was going to wear saying "too much?"

She says "no, that's perfect." My dress is navy blue and it's a little flowy and goes down to mid thigh. I put on chunky converse and a bracelet and my necklace from Robby then I am ready to go. I go downstairs and dads wearing black khakis and a dark gray tucked in polo. Mom says "damn, we look snatched." I chuckle saying "never say that again" laughing even harder. Mom says "is your necklace new? I've never seen it before?" I say "Robby got it for me, he gave it to me this morning" smiling.

I hear a knock at the door and I say "I'll get it" right before my dad gets up. I answer the door and Robby smiles at me with his stupid body just staring back at me. I mumble "you're so hot" and he chuckles and hands me some flowers saying "you ready to go?" I say "come in, I gotta put these in a vase first and you have to tell my parents where we're all going." He smiles saying "ok" and he comes in and makes way around and talks to my parents in the living room.

I can hear them as I am in the kitchen and my mom says "hey, how are you?" Robby says "I'm good, how are you, ma'am?" She says "I'm really good, so what's the plan for tonight?" Robby says "we're going to dinner at the nice place that's like right in the middle of the valley. Everyone's talking about it and they also have dancing there. Carmen insisted that my father and I need to loosen up a bit and she thought it would be fun for us to get to know each other."

Mom says "that's awesome, I love to dance but my husband needs to loosen up cause he doesn't dance often and he's boring." Robby says "we can meet you there or whatever is fine with me." Mom says "you guys can go separately, I don't mind." I say "we're going dancing?" Robby says "yeah, unless you don't want to?"

I say "you are so nervous right now. You aren't being yourself. I'm excited to go. Don't worry about it. I have moves, try to keep up." He rubs his forehead and shakes his head and smiles at me saying "you kill me." He gets up and says "pleasure meeting you again, I'll see you there?" My mom smiles saying "sure thing" and my father says "it was good to see you too, kid." I smile and Robby rests his hand low on my hip and we walk out. I say "you did well but you shouldn't be nervous about this, babe."

Robby says "I don't know what came over me, bug. I've never had a relationship like this one with this kind of commitment. A lot of this is new to me" as he opens the front door and the door to his car for me. I smile saying "you are a naturally confident person. I've never seen that part of you falter and we spend a lot of time together. You were raised right, you respect people, make sure they're ok, hold doors for me, and countless other things you do for me and others. You are a nice, confident, and generous person. I wouldn't worry about meeting with my parents."

He drives and says "I'm nervous because I love you so much and this is one of those make or break moments. If your parents don't like me, it would lead to us never seeing each other again." I say "my parents think you're great. They knew when they met you that you'd be here awhile. Just trust me when I say, don't worry about them not liking you cause you are a great person." I rub his arm saying "love you" and he says "I love you."

We get to the restaurant and he pecks my lips saying "you ready?" I say "babe, we're going dancing and I'm not wearing heels. The real question is, are you ready?" He smirks saying "you are crazy" getting out of the door and coming of my side. He opens my door for me and offers me a hand.
