The First Member (Danmachi X OC)

The Supporter

Souta was currently alone in floor 37 fighting a horde of Barbarians.

"Shit! I didn't know there was this many Barbarians! Eina-san only told me there were 4 to 5!"

He says while dodging multiple deadly attacks.

"No choice then."

He uses a Barbarian as leverage and grabs unto a rock with his left hand. Using his right hand, he stretches it open and says.

Purple Lightning: Lightning Bolt!

With a single blast of an enhanced Lightning bolt, he manages to wipe out 10 Barbarians with ease. And soon, it only takes a couple more minutes to wipe out the rest. After gathering the magic crystals the horde of Barbarians dropped, he starts counting them.

"32,33......34! That was definitely a lot of Barbarians......."

As he was planning to leave, the ground started to shake.

"What the!"

And from the distance something fell, something big, very big. Although he was far, there was no doubt about the monster that had just appeared.

"T-That's a....... Juggernaut!"

It then let out a scream, a scream so terrifying it sent chills onto Souta.

He then tried to run but the Juggernaut was quickly gaining speed.

"Tch! Thunderclap & Flash!"

With this, he manages to exit the 37th floor.

5 Minutes Later

Soon he was back in Orario sweating intensely. He heads to the Hostess of Fertility to get a breather. Arriving on the diner, he orders a meal of mushroom soup, grilled fish and a baked potato. Along with this he orders a cup of ale.

"Here's your ale-"

But Ryuu cuts off her sentence as she sees Souta drenched in sweat.

"Why are you...... drenched in sweat?"

Souta replies by saying.

"Oh it's nothing, just had a hard time on the 37th floor!"

But Ryuu becomes suspicious of this since Souta doesn't usually have a hard time from the 1st floor of the dungeon to the 42nd floor.

"Is that so? Well I won't poke any longer, here's your ale and meal."                     

Ryuu says as she hands the plate and cup of ale in front of Souta. He simply thanks her and says a prayer for the food before he starts to eat. It takes about 5 minutes as Souta finishes his food, he then asks for the bill. He pays the total amount of 800 valis and leaves a 300 valis tip for Ryuu. He then heads back and deposits the magic crystals he got from the Barbarians. Summing up to a total of 6,900 valis.

He takes stroll around Orario until he finds a magic shop. Inside the owner was selling wands, staffs, amulets and grimoires.

Seeing the Grimoire, he recalls when he first read the certain magic book that gave him his first magic spell.

Flashback

It was about 4 years ago. Souta had just turned 16, even though he didn't get any presents from Hestia nor his sister. He was at least grateful he had people to celebrate his birthday with.

It was around 11:00 in the morning. Before leaving the old basement they lived in, Hestia stopped him.

"Hm? What is it Hestia-sama?" He asked curiously.
