It's a busy Memorial Day in New York City. I love the big city, there's always so much to do and Mrs. Watson let's me take Bryson and Alexandria around wherever we want to go because she says "Cambria since you're old enough to be responsible you and your brother and sister can go around the city as you please. Be back by dinner at 6:30 though, please."

Since it is Memorial Day we are going to go to a parade! I know Alexandria and Bryson will love it so I'm doing it for them.

My name is Cambria Joy Eyrn. I live in an orphanage with ten boys and nine other girls. I'm 16, my brother Bryson is ten and my sister Alexanderia is eight. We became orphans when we were told our parents were in a plane crash in 2012. We have to all be adopted together and there aren't many people that want to adopt three kids at once.

We went to the parade at noon and we all got a lot of candy, then after the parade I took my brother and sister out for some ice cream.

We got back to the orphanage at three o'clock.

I read for a little bit and then I decided I should shower and put on some nicer clothes since on Monday's 4:30-7:00 is adoption time.

I showered, straightened my hair and put on a flower dress and some sandals. Bryson and Alexandria were still in their clothes from the parade so I told them to wash up and put on some nice clothes.

At five o'clock exactly Mrs. Watson came up to the girls' room and told Alexandria and I to come downstairs, Bryson was waiting for us.

"Are we getting adopted?" Alexadria whispered to me.

I shrugged my shoulders and looked around the corner, there was a man and a woman standing there by the front door, "Maybe..." I whispered.

The man was taller, about 6 feet is my guess. The lady was shorter, about 5 feet 6 inches tall. The lady's voice was sweet and sensible and the man's voice was very comforting and caring.

We all looked at Mrs. Watson as she was talking to this couple and laughing and smiling with them. They are really nice people!

"Cambria, Bryson, Alexandria...this couple would like to talk to you," Mrs. Watson said smiling and gesturing towards the couple and walking out of the room, "I'll leave you all alone to talk."

My brother, sister and I stood and looked at the couple.

Finally after an awkward pause the man said, "This might be a little weird to explain, and we are so sorry it has been so long."

My siblings and I looked at eachother confused.

Then the lady said, "We have been looking for you two years and we finally found you. We were waiting for our new house to be finished being built until we came here."

"I'm sorry, I don't understand." I said.

"Cambria..." The man said.

How does he know my name? Mrs. Watson never told him my name?!?!?

"How do you know my name?" I asked.

"Cambria...Bryson... Alexandria... I'm your father." the man said.

"Prove...it...." I said.

"When we lived in California your best friend was Claire. We brought you to your grandma's house here in New York City while we went on our trip. Your grandma works for the news here. We left for our trip when you were on summer break about to go into 8th grade. Our plan crashed and they decided that we were dead, but we survived. We not only survived, we have thrived. Cambria... we call you Bree, Bryson we call you Bry and Alexandria we call you Ali." the man said.

"Can I look at your car?" I said and walked over to the door.

"Of course honey." The lady said.

"I remember that car," I said walking outside to the busy street, "The seat... I know why there's that little white stain in the trunk. We were at the fire works the day before you left or your trip and I ran into the back of the car an split my ice cream cone and the trunk was open because the drink cooler was back there and open and it stained."

"DAD! MOM!" I screamed and hugged them, "Guys! These are out REAL parents! We really live in Califronia just like I told you! Come hug your parents!"

Bry and Ali came over and we had a group hug with our REAL parents.

"I knew you'd come back for us." Bryson said hugging Mom and Dad.

"Go upstairs and gather all your things! We are going to go start the paper work with Mrs. Watson and we will start back to California!" Mom said.

We ran upstairs and told everyone that we were leaving and my best friend at the orphanage, Morgan, wrote down her cell phone number and told me to stay in touch.

"Of course Mo! I love you!" I said and hugged her, grabbed my bags and went downstairs.

Bryson and Alexandria came down after me and Mom and Dad looked surprised when we each only had one bag of things.

"When we get back home, we are going shopping and we are getting you all anything you want." Mom said.

"MY KEYBOARD!" I said as I almost walked out the front door without it.

"Don't worry about it Bree, we will get you a brand new better one!" Dad said.

"They're really expensive..." I said.

"It's okay! We have good jobs!" Dad said.

"Okay, thank you guys so much." I said.

We loaded our things into the back of the car and started towards California.

"It's about a day and 16 hours from New York to Calfornia so we will drive for 5 hours tonight until 10 o'clock and then stay in a hotel. Then we will go 15 hours tomorrow and then 10 hours the Wednesday and we will get home Wednesday night," Mom said.

After we drove for 5 hours we went to a really nice restaurant, the kind of restaurant that your dessert is served to you on fire.

At 11:30pm we got to our hotel, it's a really nice hotel. Dad was right, they must have really good jobs, I can't wait to see what the house is like.

"We have to leave at 8 tomorrow morning to get to the next hotel at 11:30 tomorrow night. The ride tomorrow is 15 hours so you guys can sleep in the car if you want to explore the hotels There's a kids club where they have games, snacks and movies. Go chek it out. Just be back at the hotel room by 6am so you can all shower." Dad said and handed me the hotel key.

We went to the kids club and there are so many kids here. I went to the piano and started to play a song I'd been working on back at the orphanage.

People started to crowd the piano and after I finished the song they clapped really loud for a long time.

"Thank you." I said and walked away from the piano.

I watched a movie and then I started talking to this girl from Texas, her name is Samantha. She wrote her number down and when I told her I didn't have a phone she was really surprised.

"So I was just adopted today. But by my real parents. See, we were told they were in a plane crash and that they had died. That was in the summer of 2012. But today they came to the orphanage and said they had been looking for us for over a year and they finally found us and now we are going back home to Calfornia!" I said.

"Wow," Samantha said, "Well keep my number and if you ever get a phone you should defiantly call or text me!"

"Okay! Will do!" I said and with that Samantha had to go back to her hotel room.

At 4:30 in the morning Bry and Ali were getting tired so we went back to the hotel room. The room was huge and there was a completely seperate room from our parents of four beds and a bathroom. I took a pretty long shower while everyone else sept, it was probably an hour, but I was just trying to stay awake.

I put on my only pair of running shorts and my 'I loveNYC' tshirt. I left my straight hair down and put on some mascara and by the time I got ready, it was 6:30 and everyone was just getting up.

Everyone got ready and we went down to eat breakfast.
