Karan and Teja are both students in 9th grade.
Karan arrives first at school, greets everyone, meets his best friends, Mayank (also a class topper, sweet, polite, and a bit attitude) and Rohit (good in studies, polite, and sweet). Then Teja arrives, and Karan greets her. Teja, who is shy and stammers, responds, and Karan teases her, making her angry.
In class, the math teacher hands out a sheet of paper for a math assignment. Karan, who loves math, quickly solves the questions. Teja struggles and considers asking Karan for help, but remembers his teasing and decides to ask Mayank instead.
At lunch, Karan eats with his friends, while Teja sits alone. After finishing her lunch, Teja accidentally bumps into Gautam, a bully, who shouts at her in front of the whole class. Karan sees this but doesn't intervene.
At the end of the school day, both Karan and Teja go home. They are neighbors, and their mothers are best friends, but Karan and Teja ignore each other.
