JANE VAN DER CRUZ never tasted betrayal the way she did now; from her family, no less. Being given ── Being sold to the only preacher in the small town, she was meant to be a sacrifice for the demon, Trigon because of her power of ergokinesis, otherwise known as, energy manipulation. And as the days goes by where Jane is trapped inside the church, where she's trying to find an escape, she's soon prepared for the ritual. Dressed in all white to represent a sacrificial lamb, Jane was to be given over to Trigon ── To give him more power than he already had. But as she strapped to the altar, being their sacrifice, a member of the church ── a member of the cult, Xander Soloman breaks away from his faith and saves Jane from her fate. Now on the run, the two are trying to survive before they catch up to them.
RACHEL ROTH has been having nightmares about a woman being sacrificed for power. Plagued by these night terrors, she doesn't know how to stop them. But when her mother is murdered, and she's picked up by Detroit police, she encounters a man who's also been plaguing her psyche at night. Being taken under his wing, Rachel soon turns to Dick Grayson for help. And whilst he tries to ship her off to his old friends, Hank and Dawn, soon a family forms. And with an alliance, Rachel is running into the woman in her dreams, literally. And that's when the chaos ensues ── That's when Dick Grayson finds someone worth fighting for.
