Rain.
"Why did you take me here?"
"Thought you'd like it. It's your birthday you know."
"Yes I know it's my birthday but... You know I hate steak. Out of all the places we could
have gone, a steakhouse? Really?"
"You hate steak? I love it."
Raine sighed. It was going to be a long night.
"Is there pasta here?" she asked the waiter.
"No, ma'am, Bistro Palace is a Steakhouse- steak only." the waiter looked apologetic, Raine thought, even a little scared. She tried to relax the scowl on her face but it seemed to have stuck permanently onto her face. The waiter went on, murmuring, "If you really wanted pasta, you should have gone to Pastaria, the pasta place right down the street."
Down the street? Shaun couldn't have brought her half a block down the street to eat her favourite kind of food on her birthday. She stood up, grabbed her purse and started towards the door.
And Shaun was still eating his stupid steak. He looked up and saw Raine.
"Wherougoin?" he said with his mouth full.
Raine just shook her blonde head with disgust and walked out.
