One Week Later
Kelly and I had finally moved all our boxes into the house and were basically living out of the boxes. We had unpacked all of Bailey's stuff so that he could have an almost stable house at the moment. We were just working throughout the rooms. The living room was ready, just not decorated but it was able to live in. The kitchen and bedrooms were still in boxes.
Hearing Kelly up with Bailey I got out of bed and walked through to the living room.
“So Cindy is coming to get Bailey. We woke up late” Kelly explained setting a bowl in front of Bailey
“You know I’m cleared to walk to the school” I chuckled and he shrugged
“But I thought that if Cindy took Bailey to school then you could come into work with me for the day” He shrugged it off
“Fine I guess” I nodded sitting down at the island.
“Orange juice?” He asked and I shook my head
“I’ll get something at the firehouse” I shrugged and he nodded
“Go get ready then” He chuckled kissing my head as he passed
“Sylvie and Violet said that they’re selling tickets to the firefighters ball this shift at firehouse twenty-six” I told him and he nodded
“Squad will stop by and pick some up at some point throughout the shift” He nodded
“Pick me one up as well?” I asked and he nodded
“Well you could come with us” He shrugged as I got up out of my seat.
“I could but I couldn’t get into the truck no matter if I wanted to or not” I sighed and he nodded
“You know there’s me, Capp, Tony, Cruz? We can all lift you” He chuckled. I flipped him off as I walked into my bedroom.
I got changed into a pair of sweats and my squad shirt. Pulling one of Kelly’s hoodies that I stole on. That’s the best thing about living with a man. Stealing all the hoodies. I walked back out my bedroom as there was a knock on the door. I went to answer it but Kelly was already there talking to a woman. I shrugged it off and went to help Bailey. I got him dressed when I started to hear arguing. I left Bailey getting his bag ready and walked out of the room.
“Is that your new toy?” The woman accused trying to push past Kelly
“Look, I don't care what’s going on. Can you just keep the volume down?” I asked them. Kelly sent me an apologetic look but I shrugged it off as Bailey walked out the room. I pushed him towards the bathroom
“Go brush your teeth baby boy” I smiled at him and he walked into the bathroom. I sat down at the island. Dylan pushed past Kelly and the woman walking over.
“Had anything this morning?” He asked and I shook my head
“Nope. No pills, nothing to eat or drink. I’m not in pain and I’ll get food at the firehouse cause it’s Gallo’s day to cook” Dylan nodded
“So I’m gonna be nosey. Who’s that and what do they want?” He asked with a smirk
“I don’t know and I don’t know” I chuckled and he laughed
