Grayson's POV

**WARNING: This chapter gets pretty violent and bloody. Too many places to have indicators, so I'm just warning you now. Enjoy! :D

"My name is Than Fang. Leader of the Rogue Eclipse pack," Than says, placing a hand on his chest and giving a slight bow.

What? Than. As in, the guy that should be miles away from here. Attacking my pack. That Than?!

"The rogue pack's leader?" is all I'm able to ask.

Than straightens back up. "Ah, so you have heard of me. Hopefully, not too much if my tactics worked."

"Why are you here?"

"Like I said before, I need to discuss something with you. A proposal, if you will."

Damn it all! If he's here then that means he either knew our plans from the start, or somehow found out that we were going to be here and changed the location of his ambush. Either way, this plan has gone to shit, and now the Crystal Moon pack might not have enough fighters to defend itself!

Breath Gray, we need to warn the others and look for a way out of this.

Okay, right. You're right.

I quickly form a mind links to Jaden and Vic.

G: No time to explain, but we're in danger. Jaden, find Mal and warn him that Than is here, and try to send some guards to my lake spot. Vic, I need you and Milo to quickly find Atlantis and Conner and take them to the pack house for protection. Warn any of our people you see on the way to do the same.

V: On it.

J: Shit! Uh, ok.

I end the link and focus back on Than, who thankfully hasn't moved. "I'm guessing you just warned some of your people about us. That's okay, we've already thought of that being the case," he says with a shrug.

"You said you had something to say, so spit it out already," I growl, briefly glancing around the area. Might as well keep him talking while I think of an escape plan for me and Eli.

"Since we're running on a tight schedule, I'll make this short," he says clapping his hands together. "My companions and I have noticed that the way that packs operate is corrupt and archaic. In response, I have crafted the perfect solutions to these flaws, and am willing to share this knowledge. All that I ask for in return is for your family to stand down from your position of power. Simple."

What the fuck? That's his oh-so-important proposal? That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard! Even if there were problems happening in the packs, me or my father stepping down would be cowardly and a disgrace to the people who put their trust in us. Not to mention this rogue knows nothing about how to run a pack, so any "solutions" he might have wouldn't be worth listening to.

"Your proposal is insane. I would never hand over my Head Alpha position to you," I sneer.

Than sighs, slowly shaking his head. "I won't be in charge forever. Just long enough to solidify the changes and find a suitable new leader. Then I will retire. Never really was one for being around people anyways."

I scoff. "Like I would believe that-"

"It doesn't matter whether you believe my words or not. This will be what happens. Either your family steps down peacefully, or I take you all out. One by one. Until nobody else stands in my way. Because my goals don't depend on whether you're still breathing."
