aurora's pov
I did end up deciding to go out with emma. she wanted to invite our whole friend group since i havent seen them since the last time i visited. whitney, cameron, and chase were some of the friends emma had made here, and when i come to visit they are so kind to me, we are a little family. even though i lived across the country for like 2 years.
"are you almost ready?!" emma called from the kitchen
"yes i just dont know what to wear" i said looking through my closet
"you say that everytime" emma chuckled
i found a floral dress i havent wore in a while and decided it will do. I slip the dress on and walk into the bathroom. I took out eh braid i had in my hair from my nap. I fixed my makeup, and got some heals from my closet. i sat down on my bed and cameron appears in the door way.
"hi" he says and walks in
"did i say you could come in" i joked
"well i thought we were going out, would you like me to leave?" he joked back
"i guess you can stay" i smiled and put on my heals. i stood up in front of him.
"how do i look?" i asked
"you are beautiful" he said
"please stop" i smile
"lets go, everyone is here" chase shouts from the kitchen
i help cameron up from the bed and grab my purse, before heading out my bedroom. we walk into the kitchen and everyone is gathered around the kitchen counter.
"auroraa, im so happy you came to your senses and moved here!" whitney squeals and pulls me in for a hug.
i hug her back. "i am glad to be here with all my friends" i say
"can we address the elephant in the room?" she asks
"what?" i question even though i know what she is going to ask
"since when were you vinnie hacker's mystery girl" she asks
"dont even get me started, i need a drink first" i say
everyone laughs "but seriously though" cameron asks
emma goes over to the bar cart and gets a bottle of vodka for us.
"well its kind of fake" i say
"he is only doing it to get back at his ex, nailea devora" i confess, they are my best friends i couldnt lie.
"oh thank god" cameron lets out a sigh of relief
"yeah, i feel bad for him, she cheated, it was really public, did you guys not see this" emma asks
"i did" whitney says
"i didnt" cameron says
"maybe because we dont get caught up in tiktoker drama" chase adds
"come on be for real" emma says
"she would do it for you cameron, so stop" whitney sticks up for me
"best part is i just met him yesterday" i say
emma puts a few shot glasses on the counter and starts filling them with the vodka.
"youre too kind, rora, really" cameron says
"good thing its fake, that guy is a tool bag" chase says
"so you do know him" emma says
