So, im sure you all are curious as to why I haven't been uploaded here in months. Well, it's because im working on something big.
I am working on a remake for this story, in particular. While I think this story is good in its own right, I always felt like it was missing something. I wanted this story to feel unique, a perfect mix of psychological and graphic horror, with some tragedy. However, this story just feels like a cheap slash-fic now, which is not what I wanted this to be.
I believe part of the reason why this story feels that way to me is that I didn't really know what I was writing, I just had a basic idea and went on from there as I wrote. I have now learned that this is not the way to write, for it makes the story feel messy and unorganized, with some missing parts.
So now, I am making a remake of this story that will be 60-80% different from this story right here. It will have some of the same stuff as the original one, though will be altered to a new form.
I also plan on making the remake longer than the original, at least 7-10 hours. However the chapters will be shorter than before, where the chapters here averaged around 6000 words, the remake's chapters will average around 1500 words, which should make it easier for you all.
The biggest changes the remake will have is with the characters, including Violet. Violet will play a much more prominent role in The SB remake, essentially being the 2nd main character of the story, same with Vanessa. There will also be several other characters coming in and going throughout the story, all of which are children also trapped within the plex.
Another concept I'd like to bring into the remake is the Lord Of The Flies concept, where the increasing paranoia and hopelessness get into the survivors and starts making them turn on each other. However this is just an idea, and I am unsure whether or not this will be in the final version of the remake or not.
As some of you may have noticed, I have started a "Rough Draft" of the remake on AO3, and I want everyone to know this is not the official remake, it is just a taste of what the story will be like in its final version. The final version will be posted here, on Wattpad.
However, I am open to ideas that some of you may have.
