After a bit, the principal got my attention again. Annoyed by him yelling at me and accusing me of committing the murder I turned and started to walk away. I honestly didn't care if anyone thought I did it because I knew I didn't I just had unfortunate luck apparently.

The new student cleared his throat before saying "Sir I don't she did this. I personally believe that she has unfortunate timing.".

The principal stopped and stared at the new kid I did as well. Strange no one has ever stood up for me before.

"Well then if you two can prove that Emerald's innocent then I will not expel Emerald or turn her into the police." the principal said before he turned and left.

Great I have to work with the new student and prove that I had nothing to do with any of the murders that have happened at this school.

The new student walked up to me and put his hand out. "I'm Ellis".

"Emerald or Em." I stared at his hand I just met this kid I wasn't comfortable with shaking his hand.

He stood there for several seconds before he put his hand into his pocket and huffed. Was he insulted by me not shaking his hand? Whatever that was his problem. Ellis looked down at the body.

"So, how are we going to prove you didn't do this?" he asked.

"Simple find clues and prove I'm innocent," I stated crouching down and examining the body again.

"Easier said than done." he sighed and looked around to find something.

"Oh Em did you hear that clock?" he asked still looking.

Shocked I stopped and stared up at him. He heard it too? I thought I was the only one that could hear it.

"No," I stated before going back to examining the body.

I didn't want to tell him that I was also hearing that stupid clock.

"Oh ok," he said as he continued to look.

This was going to be a lot harder than I thought it would be seeing how the body had nothing on it showing how they died.
