~(3rd person POV)~

Ravi groaned out of frustration knowing he hasn't slept well in a week and seeing the red numbers blink the time away only made him more anxious. 02:49am, and he laid in his bed, still wide awake.

Once again he found himself drifting off in to a sleep like trance. A condition where he was aware of his surroundings but instead of dreams, things he saw were his real memories flooding back, as if he was in those situations once again. He knew what would come next. A memory that has been haunting him for the past week, one that keeps Ravi awake, but he can't do nothing about it. The event from a week ago replays itself. Again. And again.

***********

''Say Ravi honey, what would you do if your best friend was gone? I mean gone for good, you would never see them again.'' Soyong had this unreadable look on her face, that made Ravi shift nervously on his seat.

''I guess, I would feel empty. Would anything matter anymore, since if my bestfriend weren't there for me when they were gone then who would be.'' he took Soyoungs hands in his and kissed her forehead, but for some reason, he couldn't ask for a reason as to why would she ask something like that.

They had been dating for half a year now and she had always had a smile on her lips, laughter seemed to follow her anywhere and she always made Ravi feel happy, so why would she suddenly seem so depressed.

Soyong stood up sliding her hands out of Ravi's grip and made her way to the bathroom.

''Now now, we will be late if we don't hurry up. They are waiting for us to arrive in ten minutes!''

The sudden mood change made Ravi feel uneasy, but as he realized how late it actually was he immediately forgot the worrying and started running around, looking for his clothes and carelessly wrapped their gift for the birthday girl on a bright yellow wrap paper.

They made it just in time to the party. Although, they weren't even the last ones to arrive. Only closest friends were invited so the schedule didn't matter so much. But as they strolled around, Ravi realized that even half of the people were strangers to him.

''Ah, Amber really has a bunch of friends, and these are only the closest ones

?!'' Ravi couldn't help but chuckle at Soyoug's comment. Amber was the one that whom ever you introduced to her, she either knew them or was friends with them already.

Over all they enjoyed their time at the party, thanks to the great athmosphere and funny people around them. At one point Ravi lost his sight of Soyong, but he thought that she just went to the toilet, or got stuck in to a conversation with one of her girlfriends as usual. He on the other hand was having a conversation of upcoming mid-term exams with his class mate.

But at some point Ravi noticed that his girlfriend had been on her own for over an hour already. Meanwhile people were starting to move around unsettled. Then everything started to move on a fast forward. They had found a lifeless body near the party location by the lace, police had came and was hearing the quests for their comments. Soon enough they were informed that the body was girls and that it was being moved to the nearby hospital. Apparently she was in a coma.

Now Ravi couldn't hide his concern for Soyong anymore. He eagerly tried to look around for her and asked for the injured ones name, with out getting an answer. But the more he searched for her the more certain he came of the situation. Someone had seen her exit the house with hurry somewhat an hour ago. According to some of them she seemed to not notice anyone around her, like she was in a mission or something.

Long enough it took for the police to let the guests go, they seemed to have collected all of the information they needed. And as soon as the permission was given, he went out, the cab he had called already waiting for him to get in. Ravi told the driver the address of their destination and they took of. Speeding towards the hospital So yong was sent to.

********

Ravi woke up cold sweat dripping of his forehead, tears streaming down his cheeks. What a good way to start a day!! He dried his face up with the sleeve of his T-shirt and opened the curtains, and for a moment he was blinded by the cloudless sky above the dorm building. The sun was shining as if it's intention was to mock his sorrow.

He peeked at the clock, it was little past nine, he had slept for six hours.
