Prologue
I popped my lips after I swiftly run the edge of my favorite red velvet shade of lipstick on my lips. I grinned to myself, feeling a little bit of excitement for the event waiting for me today.
It'll be fun, but I need to escape first.
"Those idiots may be somewhere here in the house," I murmured to myself before carefully getting my purse.
I need to be careful or else I'll be stuck here for the rest of the day. I hate boredom so I need to do something with it. Those idiots will kill me for doing this, for sure. They can freely kill me afterward, though. I don't care about it.
Slowly, I opened the door to peek to see if someone is roaming around the hallway at this hour. It's early in the morning so I'm sure they're still tucked in their bed.
Mamaya pa naman ang party na pupuntahan ko pero kailangan ko nang agahan dahil siguradong hindi ako makakatakas sa kanila. They won't let me go.
Luckily, no one's around. I happily clasped my hand and walked out of my room. Dahan - dahan kong sinara ang pinto ng kwarto bago nagpatuloy.I couldn't risk being so noisy right now so I'm being vigilant.
I'm going to meet my friends for a drink. We're going to a party. It's kind of a celebration. I don't know what kind of celebration they're talking about because I didn't pay attention when they called. I was busy doing my makeup.
I got my wavy brown hair in a high ponytail and I can feel it bouncing when I walked in the hallway. The house is huge but you can barely see a human roaming around here, but you can't be so sure about that. In this household, eyes are everywhere.
I was just trying to escape my brother's grasp. Not everybody in the house.
"Tell them my whereabouts when I'm not around," I commanded still walking proudly in the hallway.
If a human sees me talking like this, they would probably think that I'm a crazy gorgeous lady. Who cares, anyway? I'm minding my own business here!
I directly went to the kitchen first to drink some of my favorite red wine to energize myself before picking one cherry on the table where the fruits are and slowly biting it. Amusement is immediately drawn to my face as soon as the juice of the cherry touched my tongue.
"Hmm. Cherries taste better with this wine, huh?" I chuckled to myself.
I haven't tried this before, just now. Nagbaba ako ng tingin sa relong nasa palapulsuhan ko. The watch says I'm early but for me, I'm getting late. I sighed.
"I better get going."Tumayo na ako at sinimot ang laman ng wine glass bago iyon iniwan sa mesa. Someone will clean my mess. Hindi na dapat ako mag-abala.
"Cherries and wine for breakfast?"
I almost jumped when I heard that voice but immediately I composed myself to relax as if I'm not planning something mischievous.
"Want some?" alok ko.
He raised his brow at me while trying to observe my movements. He was standing right in front of the kitchen door. Nakahalukipkip siya at buryong nakatingin sa akin para bang alam niya ang binabalak ko.
"I can smell your perfume over here." He complained, scratching his nose. "Where do you think you're going, Crystal?" He asked and walk towards the cabinet to get some drinks.
"Wanna come over?" I asked, grinning. I know the answer already.
"No, thanks. I have a date," he grumpily said.
