The light of the morning sun beamed through her windows and struck off the floor to her eyes, telling her body it's morning, the warmth of the sun radiated all round her bedroom, she fluttered open her eyes and tossed onto her back and rubbed her eyes. She fluttered her eyes one again and lifted herself up weakly, suddenly a throbbing sensation hit her head like a truck, she hissed in pain, "How much did I fucking drink last night." She thought as she held her face in her hands, sitting there suffering from the throbbing in her head. She peeled her hands away from her face, she looked over to her nightstand to reveal a pearl tray with, pills and a glass of water. She leaned over towards it and opened the pill box to pop out 2 of the pills she flipped it over to the front an read "Advil", she dropped the pills into her mouth and grabbed the glass and drunk a mouth full and quickly swallowed it.

She placed the glass back down and laid down, she stayed there for a few minutes waiting for the throbbing to pass, it doesn't bother her as much nowadays since she's used to the painful throbbing every morning, she stared at the roof for a while completely zoning out and the throbbing felt like nothing, she stared for a few more seconds and snapped back into reality when a knock at her door disrupted her and the throbbing in her head appeared once again, she hissed and lifted herself up once more and rubbed her head,

"Come in." She called out and the door opened widely viewing a hourglass shaped body as it was covered with a black suit that wrapped around the torso beautifully showing every curve and detail, moving her eye upper the women had jet black hair which was professionally styled and curled, moving to the ladies face she had no wrinkles, the women looked young and had perfect skin, after eyeing the lady for a while, she was very familiar to her,

"Ah! I see my alcoholic daughter has awoken from her slumber." The women spoke with a cold sensation releasing a shiver in the room,

"Morning to you too, mother..." She watched as the women walked over to the bed she was sat on and sat on the side making eye contact with her daughter. The women blinked and signed as she looked away from her daughters eyes and looked out the window behind her,

"Novalee, drinking every night isn't going to help you feel greater, it'll make you feel empty and depressed when your older. No more drinking and that's an order." The women turned her view to her daughter who gave her a cold glare, the jet black haired women lifted herself up from the bed and began to walk out the door but came to a halt an turned her neck back into the direction of the younger still sat under the white silk sheets,

"Breakfast is at 7:20, please sweetheart, at least come down an eat with your family." The women closed the door behind her and the clanking off her heels can be heard as she walked further away from the room,

Novalee hated socializing, she'd rather die then do that. She doesn't have a clue why she hates it, she just does, she rubbed her head once more, the throbbing sensation wasn't as bad as it was a few moments ago, she peeled the sheets off her body and shuffled over to the edge of her bed and walked along the black carpet with her white socks and walked weakly to her bathroom to shower. She slid her clothings off and turned on the hot water and melted at the warmth of the water on her body. She stood there embracing the warmth, which slowly helped with the not so noticeable throbbing in her head.

"That felt fucking amazing, holy shit." She spoke to herself as she wrapped a towel around her body an after ruffled her wet hair with a head towel trying to dry it as much as she could. She wrapped the towel around her head and and walked over to her mirror, she stared at herself for a few moments and eyed her features, she shrugged and grabbed the blow-drier to dry off her damp hair. After 18 minutes or so, some little parts of her head were damp but she couldn't care.

She walked into her walk-in-closet and picked out some boot legged jeans and a black long sleeved top, she grabbed her undergarments and slid everything on, actually trying to make an effort and not look like a homeless motherfucker, "good enough." She thought to herself and walked back to her bathroom mirror and grabbed concealer and twisted the stick out and applied the skin toned liquid under her eyelids, she twisted the stick back onto the bottle and grabbed a face sponge and dabbed the sponge everywhere in every place you are able to see her eye bags.

She grabbed a eyebrow pencil and shaped out her eyebrows to at least look like they've been done earlier when she last got them done half a month ago. She brushed out her hair and looked behind her at the giant shoe rack on the tiled walls and grabbed a pair of black sneakers and slid them on, she looked in the mirror and walked off to meet up with her bedroom door and turned the door knob to leave.

She heard the sounds of voices echoing throughout the house, familiar deep voices, she recognised them all too well, after not hearing them for a while, she slowly stepped down the case of stairs and made her way down a long hallway to meet up and brown and white detailed wooden doors, she pushed them open as the wooden feeling hit her palms and peeled away when the doors were wide open, to reveal a long dining table with white chairs on every side, she saw her mother, and 2 other familiar males, they all turned to her and their eyes widened, she glared at each one and sat 3 seats away from everyone, a frown appeared on an older mans face, he was wearing a brownish suit and had his grayish hair slicked back, the other male had jet black hair just like the women who sat across from him.

He had a bulked body and blueish eyes with a hint of brown and he eyed the female who was by the looks her definitely younger then him, he recognised her immediately, she is his sister after all, he looked at her for a few moments eyeing every detail of her after half a month of not seeing her features, she noticed it and shot back a piercing death glare, she to him was never usually like this, cold and moody everyday,

"Stop staring at me with that look, Ryker." She looked away as she picked at her nails under the table, he missed that voice of his little sister, she eyed him again getting more annoyed but got interrupted when she was about to say something again,

"Novalee, How are you feeling today?" The male who sat at the end chair spoke as he looked over at the younger, who is also his daughter,

"I feel like shit." She said as she looked into the mans eyes,

"We know you miss her, Nova. We know you miss Syphonia." The elder spoke as his heart dropped at how exhausted his youngest child looked. Novalee looked away as she remembered that name all too well, Syphonia was her best friend, her anchor, her sister. She loved that other person so much, being far away from each other saddened Nova even more.
