Chapter One- Jeremy
The leaves gracefully jumped off the tall tree and landed on the faded green grass. The chilly weather hit everyone on the morning of September, symbolizing that the school year was going to hit their summer dreams. All the teenagers in Lakeview knew each other, and knew that back to school shopping needed to be done. After all, everyone had grown up with each other in this small town.
When Jeremy Johnson stepped out of the black limousine, he realized this neighborhood was different than his old one. Jeremy used to live in Mission Springs, a neighborhood with prodigious mansions and the latest sport cars. He used to live there because he came from a wealthy family. His father came from a family of doctors while his mother came from a family of lawyers. However, the family decided that a quiet, small town would be better to advertise business as well. So Jeremy left the popular California and ended up moving into a small town in Kansas.
"Jeremy," He turned and saw his mother step out of the limo. Her dark brown hair was in loose curls around her face. Her pretty green eyes met his and she gave him a soft smile. "I know Lakeview seems like a small neighborhood, but trust me, our house is still prodigious." She paused. "Please promise me that you're going to try and make new friends,"
Jeremy looked off into the distance. He had a wonderful life back in California. He used to go off after school with his friends and party until late at night. When it was early morning the next day, he would use his charm to ask the smart girls what the answer to the homework assignment was. Overall, he managed to have a wonderful GPA while also partying late at night. He was a popular boy back then.
However, he would have to start all over in a new town and a new school. He was angered when his parents informed him about their decision to move. As he stared at the colorful trees and the pile of leaves forming in yards, he felt a little odd. Maybe this was his chance at freedom, to start new and become the Jeremy he never could be in California.
"Jeremy," His mother said, patiently.
"I promise," He muttered.
'"What do you promise?"
"I promise that I'll try and make friends," He sighed.
She smiled. "Don't worry, honey, you'll love it here," She looked up at the treetops, then wrapped her sweater around her body. "Let's get back in the limo, it's chilly today! Only 65 degrees!" They sat down in the limo as it drove them off to their new house.

Jeremy stared out of his bedroom window looking at the sunset. When they arrived in the new house, the furniture was already set up. Jeremy thought this house was enormous and couldn't wait to throw parties. Until he realized that he didn't have any friends in Kansas yet. He shut himself off, getting on his phone and texting his old friends from California.
"Jeremy,"
He turned and saw his mother standing there.
