Liz makes her way down the stairs and we watch on a small tablet her camera feed. All the guys turn to look at Liz and Jonas is blushing. " ahhh Jonas is blushing" Bex says. Then we hear Jonas say " wow you look beautiful like a princess" and his blush deepens. "Ashley your turn" as she walks down we have both feeds on the screen they look towards her and Zach just smirks and says " you look beautiful" "thank you and you look good as well" he just smirks. " just wait till he sees you Cammie he won't be looking at her anymore" Bex says and Macey replies "here let's put our coms on now that she is downstairs and Bex give Liz hers when you get there" we put them on and I hand Macey a second tablet "take this with you so we can all watch it after I descend we are recording everything." " good idea now Bex go" as Bex walks down you can hear Grant whooping and crying out " My British Bombshell is Sexy as Hell" we all laugh. " Macey your turn" " one second let Liz get her coms on first." "Ok" then we hear Liz say on the coms "bookworm, the duchess and our men are waiting for the peacocks descent" " that's your que" when she had made it to the last stair Nick pulls her in for a kiss and whispers in the ear that has the coms " you look drop dead gorgeous and I can't wait to get you out of this dress" she giggles and says "this isn't the dress that you will be taking off of me and now it's time for Cammie to come down" I take a deep breath to calm myself and walk slowly down the stairs when I hit the hallway mark i look up to see Luke with mouth hanging open and the rest of the guys Zach included with a knowing smirk. They all remember the last time I wore a red dress. I walk over to Zach, Luke and Ashley. Luke says " wow you are gorgeous and breath taking." Ashley says "she is didn't she Zach?" He just smirks and says "Well you don't look hideous." Quoting what he said to me sophomore year, so I respond with "Ditto" the girls squeal in acknowledgment. Then Zach says "if you are lucky maybe you won't have the same wardrobe malfunction as you did sophomore year" "you wouldn't know that came to be would you?" "I would tell you but then I would have to kill you." " you will tell me one of these days." "If you say so" Bex barges in saying " enough you two we need to go" we all head into the marquee with Macey and Nick in front, Bex, Grant, Liz and Jonas next and then Ashley, Zach me and Luke. We greet people on our way to our table. Mom and Joe are already sitting at their table next to ours and they are talking to aunt Abby and who ever her date is tonight. "Hey mom, Aunt Abby, Joe this is Luke and Ashley" they share a knowing look and mom says " I love your dress kiddo it reminds me of the one you wore sophomore year." " I did that for a reason and because no one would expect the wallflower to be so noticeable and then end up in the background." Abby says " squirt you picked this out and not Macey and Bex?" "Yes in fact I hand picked each article of clothing for everyone in our group." Joe says " And Macey just let you?" "Yes but she does have back ups for everyone if it didn't match her standards but even she admits that I clearly channeled her and didn't eat them." Zach whispers " so every article you picked out for each person" "yes why" " nothing it's just a little unfair that you know what I am wearing under this tux but I don't know what your are wearing under that dress." "And you won't you forget I'm changing after this dinner." Just then the MC starts "welcome everyone to the start of the Macey McHenry annual gala the first of many to come. Please take a seat and the first course will be out shortly" I take my seat I am sitting in between Luke and Zach and across from Bex . I stop listening to the MC as the first course comes out it is a tomato jelly with Catalan herbs and olive oil. " Macey this is so good. But then again you always have good taste." "Thank you Cammie here comes the second course" as we eat there are a few speakers and or soft music throughout the meal. Second course was a Lobster bisque with salmon pate and tiger prawns. Third course was a nice lime sorbet to cleanse the palate it was also served with a hot tea. Zach and I took the opportunity to put the memory concoction in Ashley and Luke's tea with the help of Liz and Macey distracting them. They will just think we are friends not other type of relationship and just having a good time. Fourth course was Seared scallops with cauliflower puree, baby salad and truffle oil. Fifth course was Slow cooked beaver in a filo pastry served with cumin sweet potato , red currant chutney and curry foam. Sixth course was blue cheese and chocolate truffles. The last course was called Lady Angel. Poached orange in Cointreau serve with cocos biscuit and Cointreau sauce. After the dinner there were some mingling and chit chatting. Then the MC announce that the dance floor was now open.
