I wake up and my head is pounding. When I sit up, I notice that there is a boy that I've never seen before. My breath smells like vodka and champagne and I can feel my stomach turning. I leap up and run to the nearest bathroom. Putting my head down the toilet bowl, I throw up till my stomach is empty. Must have been the drink...
I go to my phone and see that I have 10 missed calls from both my mum and dad. Ignoring it, I throw my phone down. I hear my phone ring again. Angrily, I hold the phone, thinking that it was one of my parents but it was Shay.
"OMG that party was amazing. Where are you?" She asks.
"I think I'm still at Daquan's house! I woke up laying next to some boy who I've never seen before," I reply.
"Oooooo, I'm guessing some 'things' happened last night then..." she teases.
"NO. Nothing happened. But can I ask you something?" I ask.
"Yea, sure."
"Can I stay at yours for a bit? I don't really wanna deal with my parents right now."
"Sure babes!" The conversation between us really has me thinking. Could 'things' really have happened last night? If 'things' did happen did we use protection? I stop myself from processing these negative thoughts. Instead, I look around for my dress, shoes and bag. They are scattered across the floor and mixed in with a boys' clothes. I am starting to think that things really DID happen!

I reach Shay's house. Her family are very welcoming and treat me like one of their own. We have lunch and whilst we eat, I get a call. It is my mum.
"Oh my goodness darling, where have you been?" says my mum sounding relieved. "I've been worried sick." I can hear a slight cracking in her voice, which tells me that she's been crying.
" Oh hi mum. I went to the party and afterwards I came to Shayana's house to sleep over. Sorry I didn't tell you." I feel bad now. My mum has been worried sick and all I could do was ignore it. I must be a terrible daughter. I tell her that I'll be home and not to panic, that I was safe.
I gather all of my belongings and I am in my way home. I stop. Remembering the chat that Shayana and I had before I went to her house, I think that it is best to drop into a pharmacy quickly. I ask the woman at the main desk for a Clear Blue test. She hands it to me and I pay her £5.99 in exchange. I tuck it in to my purse and continue to make my way home.
I reach home and walk through the front door instead of the back, like I had to last time. My mum leaps off the sofa and comes to throw her arms around me. She doesn't let go for about 5 minutes. I'm so glad that she didn't shout at me. I tell her that I need to use the toilet. She loosens her grip and I desperately sprint to the bathroom.
I quickly pull the test out of my bag. Taking it out the box, I do the required steps. I have to wait 10 minutes so I decide to run a warm bath.
When the bath is full enough, I take off my clothes and relax. I put my knees up to my chest and hug them tightly. Hoping. Praying that the test will be negative.
10 minutes have passed. I jump out of the bath and wrap my towel around my body. My shaking hands pick up the test. I take one glimpse and I fall to my knees, tears rolling down my face uncontrollably. I'm pregnant.
