Josh

All the way back to her building, Cherry bit her fist in an attempt to stop herself from screaming and making a scene. I tried to comfort her, but she rejected all attempts I made. We looked pretty insane now that I think about it.

When we arrived at her building, she shuffled out of the car in some kinda trance and stood on the sidewalk, chewing on her knuckles hard. I paid the driver and thanked him as I joined Cherry on the sidewalk, putting my arm around her shoulders and leading her inside. We past the receptionist and shuffled into the elevator. I pushed the button for Cherry's apartment and we ascended up in silence while the all too happy song "Happy" was playing in an elevator-music renditioned version.

The door was locked so I asked Cherry for the key, unlocked it, pushed it open and ushered her inside. Her mom wasn't home yet. I moved Cherry into her room and sat her down on her bed. I took a seat next to her.

I put my arm around her shoulders and she began to scream and sob into my shoulder. I held her close and, though it hurts my already fragile ego to say this, I may have a cried a tear, or twenty. She gripped at my shirt and wrapped her arms around my neck, her chin resting on my shoulder. She turned her head to the side and her lips brushed my neck. Shivers of a strange and alien pleasure rushed through my body. It shook my body. Cherry felt this and pulled out of the hug. Despite all the crying, her make-up was still on point tho (aye).

"Josh, are you ok, is it cold or something? You're shivering." she asked, a concerned look on her face. Suddenly, something came over me. My body moved independently of my mind. I kissed her. I pulled back quickly. I stood up and walked to her bedroom door.

"I should get going." I said and walked out of her apartment, leaving her there on her bed.

Jesus Christ what have I fucking done.
