(ignore the fact its just Name I couldn't particularly be arsed thinking of a random name and it was like 1am when I started writing this so-)

3am exactly. Who the hell would be cold calling at this time?
Name brushed the sleep from their eyes before slipping on a simple bathrobe and slippers, chances are it was some stupid kids playing pranks so who cared what they looked like?
Cold ass door handle..
A few moments of shoving it later and it finally budged.
That door definitely needs some oil or something.
The knocking grew fainter yet more frantic and they knew they had to be quick.
Maybe it wasn't some wannabe cool kids being prats.

The hit of the slippers against the floor echoed as their pace quickened.
Locks clanged together as the keys shook inside each one.

Wind and leaves rushed in through the door the second I opened it.

"Hello..?"
Their voice was drowned out by the wind, all the while looking around for whomever would've knocked.
A hand grasped at the hem of the robe, directing Name's gaze towards the ground and initially sending them into a state of panic and worry.

"Papa..??"
And there on the ground outside, was Papa Emeritus the Third, Terzo.
Nobody could've told how long he had been out there, but they did know he had been, and still was, bleeding. A lot.
They rushed to get him inside, a splotched trail of blood following behind Terzo.

The fire place in the main room crackled behind the breathy cries from Papa as his wound were being dressed. As they finished up, the cries slowed to a stop and Terzo had allowed himself to partially fall asleep in Name's arms, muttering what would then be his last spoken words.

"I love you amore.."

A few hours went by and both Name and Terzo were asleep in each others comfort, yet papas breath had began to grow fainter before stopping after a short moment.

The last traces of the night trickled away, the suns light dawned through the windows. It was one of the most beautiful sunrises someone could've seen, perhaps to have welcomed the new arrival from death.

I had life eternal playing on loop in my mind throughout writing this.
