Insecurity. It was a burden that you have carried ever since you could remember. Your whole life everyone told you that you weren't enough. Your parents and brother were the main aspects in your outlook on yourself.

When you and Mitch started dating he noticed the signs. How you would stare in the mirror for long periods of time and skip multiple meals in a day. It honestly pained him to know that you viewed the person he loved so dearly so bad. He never wanted to pressure you about it though. He just made sure to reassure you every chance he could get.

Today was a really bad day. You didn't know why, but today you were absolutely disgusted with your appearance. Mitch was at practice so you had time to dissect yourself without the fear that he would see you doing it.

You stood in front of the mirror in a sports bra and some athletic shorts. You just keep your eyes trained on your body. You focused on every groove, curve, imperfection, and scar that was on you. It was repulsive to you. Made you sick to your stomach that you could look like this.

Mitch had just got home from practice and was excited to see you. He called out your name when he got into the house, but there was no response. He made his way to his and yours shared room and quietly opened the door. He saw you there looking at yourself in a body mirror and tears running down your face. It absolutely broke his heart.

"What are you doing?" He softly asked trying not to alarm you. You snapped your head towards him and started rapidly shaking your head.

"No, no, no, no, no, no. You can't see me right now" You started sobbing as Mitch got closer and wrapped you into a hug. He comfortingly rubbed your back and let you cry on him.

"It's okay. It's okay, baby. I'm here" He whispered as you sobbed into his chest.

After your cries slightly subsided he decided to do something he should have done a long time ago.

"Where?" He asked.

"What?" You asked, your voice still watery from crying.

"Where do you not like how it looks?" He asked while gently pushing some of your hair out of your face. You gulped.

"My thighs and stomach are the worst" You whisper, slightly ashamed of admitting it. Mitch nodded. He gets down on his knees causing you to grow confused. He gently runs his fingertips along your stomach causing you to feel very vulnerable. He presses soft kisses across it.

"I love your stomach. It's comfortable and perfect to me" He whispers while looking up at you. He moves to your thighs next doing the same thing.

"Your thighs are one of my favorite physical things about you. They are perfect to lay on and are nice when my face is in between them" He says playfully smirking. You let out a laugh as he gets up.

"You are absolutely perfect, my love. If you are ever feeling like this again, tell me please. I will try for all my life for you to see yourself how I see you" Mitch says cupping your face gently. You smile at him and nod. He presses a soft meaningful kiss to your lips.

"Now, let's go watch movies and cuddle" Mitch says giddly causing you to laugh and nod your head.
