I looked away from my watch as Mukago exited the ship with her eyes brimming with excitement, like a child exploring a new place, as I followed closely behind her, a longcoat on top of my shirt and a top hat to cover my head, as I watched her with a small smile on my face

"let's go!" exclaimed Mukago, her excitement infectious, it's quite understandable after all, Fuyuki is many things, but a place for muzan it is not, with the tohsaka and matou living here, alongside the holy grail existing here, it's too active for someone like muzan to come close to, if he gets his sunlight immunity, he probably would, but until that happens, we're mostly safe, a breath of fresh air for Mukago, not only that, but since I'm here with a surprise tool, the Tohsaka won't be able to attack me, they'll most likely try to get a deal, and with my manipulation skill, it'll be easy to place the deal in my favor

"I'm coming dear" I chuckled, feeling a weight slide off of my shoulders as I watched her giggle with excitement as she ran around, she did not like to travel by ship, as such, to run on land once more must be quite a joyful sensation for her, I looked at the bags and case carried by a young 'porter' he really isn't, he's just a young stowaway whom I hired, I began instructing him to go to a ryokan I have made an 'arrangement' with, and to place our luggage there, I then gave him some money and sent him off, discretely sending a familiar to watch over him, before I headed for Mukago, cane in hand, yet without a sign of damage, I simply kept the cane  to act as an emergency weapon in public

we continued to wander around fuyuki, it was an acceptable place, not dirty, not too special either, it's an average city, with an average population

"come on! look at the flowers! aren't they so beautiful?" asked Mukago, her face illuminated by the various light sources around the city center, as she dragged me by the hand, as I looked at the flowers, they were healthy, but that was all that I could really see to he so important about it

"yes?" my words were more of a question, as I looked at the flowers, trying to understand what made them so beautiful

"no, you don't" she pouted at my response, surprising me, she could see? I believed I was quite convincing

"and how would you know?" I asked, my tone confused as I looked at her, I believed my abilities in creating facades to be good enough to at the very least, comfort her with the idea that I could entirely understand and relate to her, yet clearly I was wrong in that assumption

"You're smart and strong, more than anyone I've ever met, maybe even stronger than Muzan and smart enough to manipulate the mind of others to do your bidding, but you're not very good at understanding when to stop and listen to your body, even if you can feel it" she explained with a nearly serene smile, fully enchanting me with her snow white skin, black and red eyes and long hair, and I could not find it in me to refute her answer, after all, the moment I swore that oath to her, never once did I allow myself to rest, every moment was spend honing my skills, keeping her happy, and concocting ways to get rid of Muzan

"see, even you know it" she chuckled, her voice snapping me out of my thoughts

"both of us know what I've sworn" I stated, I've sworn to give her the best life she can, and the only way I know for that, is to grant her the opportunity to choose the path she wishes to choose, and support her the best I can

"silly, I love you, your happiness is also my happiness" she sighed, before motioning for me to come closer, and I did, walking towards her with a light pace, confusion filling my mind, and strangely, fear

"look at the flowers" she stated, as I kneeled besides her, the flowers were a branch of sakurasou, or japanese Primrose they were healthy, yet like all flowers, they looked very fragile
