notes! ok i am so excited for this one actually. this is, to be totally honest, a practice run of me writing a character with spider powers. i've spoken about it on tumblr (follow me at mangoisms!) but i'm in the planning stages of a dc comics fic for tim drake centered around another spider-man fusion where the oc gets spider powers. so... if any of you stick around long enough for me to post that, you will notice some similarities in dialogue, conflict, etc etc since i am, again, unashamedly attempting it here and also trying to hone in on the effects and powers
this is also scratching a very particular itch i have. initially i was considering a daiya and dc comics crossover (as yet another practice run of me writing the dc universe but with the bonus that it's for daiya, which i'm familiar with) but honestly the dc universe is so goddamn insane, it would've been too hard to mesh everything. but then i thought — spider-man! since my dc fic will have very prominent spider details and this will let me nail down some of the finer details.
so here we are! this is set after high school, when they're all in college (i was considering hs but college was a perfectly reasonable alternative and much more preferable since i think it's more absolute). i'm pulling my knowledge of spider powers from an amalgamation of peter parker, miles morales, and cindy moon in the comics as well.
