"Don't go too far, Nathan" Amelia said to her 9 years old brother.
"Alright, Meli" the liltle boy replied with a sigh and left the house with a foot ball in his arms.Amelia along with Nathan lived in a small house on Canella Ave in the suburb of Norris Green. When she was only 16, her mother died, and her world turned upside down. She had to put everything behind her and give up her dreams in order to take care of her baby brother. In between going to school, Amelia had to start working, being only 16 years old it was not so easy. However, she got a job at a fish and chip place. The owner was good enough to understand the tough situation she was in and took her under his wing. Her mother's best friend helped her with the care of her brother.
Those 4 years felt like a hell for Amelia as she barely managed to finish school. But she didn't know it was just the beginning of the 'journey' ahead of her.Amelia threw on her jacket and headed to work. On the way, she saw Nathan and his friends playing in the nearby pitch. The girl walked over to the fence as she called Nathan and waved her hand at him.
"Hey, hey Nate come over here for a minute." The boy saw his sister and ran over to her.
"I won't be late, I'll be home before you finish here, did you hear me?" Nathan just nodded.
"I love you" Amelia added and continued her way to her workplace. After training, the players decided to chill a bit and go out to eat somewhere.
"Where do you want to go?" Robbo asked
"I know this fish and chip place in Norris Green, my mum told me about and said it was good" Trent chimed in
"So it's settled, we're going to Norris Green," Hendo replied in a cheerful tone.It was a little over an hour until the restaurant closed, as it was completely empty already. While Amelia was cleaning the tables, a group of men entered the restaurant and when she raised her head and saw them Amelia immediately recognized the men as some of the Liverpool players. "They never came before, what are they doing here now?" she wondered.
Amelia recognized them only because of the simple reason that Nathan kept talking about them. Liverpool is his favourite club and Amelia found it amusing how the liltle boy gets way too excited when talking about them to her.Hendo, Robbo, Virgil, Fabinho and Trent all gathered on one of the tables and Amelia approched them to take their orders.
"G-Good evening, did you already decided on what you are having?" the girl asked with a slight nervousness in her voice. She didn't know why is she acting like that all of a sudden. The boys told their orders to Amelia who wrote it on her pocket book and went to the kitchen to tell the chef what to prepare.
The boys chatted and laughed as they waited for their fish and chips to arrive.
"Uhh, guys i need to go to the restroom" Trent laughed and stood up.
"Excuse me, can you tell me where the restroom is, please?" The scouser asked Amelia, who had her back at him. When she turned around and raised her head at the voice she was left speechless.Fisrt chapteeeer!
