Darkness.
Cold black darkness.
It seeps through your veins, like that icy feeling you get when you know you can't possibly win the fight. In the dream world, where you can't escape the visions that you truly want to escape. You can't fight back or run. I chose the fight, each image more devastating than the last.
"Why do you fight back?" A strong masculine voice asked. It was close, like it was directly right in front of me but I was at a lose as to the voice's whereabouts.
"Who's there? Show yourself!" I shouted, so nervous that sweat was beading up on my forehead.
"I have been here the whole time, yet you still cannot see me." The voice says again.
"How can I see what is not showing itself?" I ask.
"Naruto! Listen closely to what I'm about to tell you." The voice tells me, his tone makes me straighten and listen intently.
"I am the Sage of Six Paths, the Rikudo Sennin if you will. The creator of the nine tailed beasts, and as you know I only come when I am needed. What is it that you are seeking?" The now announced: Rikudo Sennin asks me.
"How would you know that I even want anything, I never summoned you here." I say, it wasn't a question it was more like a direct answer to his question. Like beating around the bush, which seemed to irritate the Rikudo Sennin. The voice all of a sudden became a blur in my line of vision, I gasped and stepped back which got a reaction from the Sennin.
"So you've finally truly opened your eyes." The Rikudo Sennin says. His form was now completely visible to me, and the once black surroundings were of a familiar landscape.
I turned to look at the dream that was in my mind, it was like I was being hit in the face with a cold glass of ice water. The open landscape, me dancing and singing with Gamatatsu while Gamakichi refereed us into trying to link our minds as one. I looked over and saw my long since deceased master.
"Why are you showing me this?" I said, turning away rather quickly. "These memories that were once great are now nightmares."
"Ahh, but I had to show you...This is what you want more than anything, is it not? To see your master alive again?" The Rikudo Sennin asks.
I glared at the ground, "What do you want from me!" I finally yelled, then started to punch at the man in front of me angrily.
"To give you that chance..." The Rikudo Sennin said simply while dodging each punch with ease. My eyes opened wide, my fists fell to my sides.
"You really mean that?" I asked, shaking.
"Do you wish to change your future, Naruto?" He asked me.
I was speechless for what seemed like forever, but suddenly I nodded my head. Tears staining my cheeks, "If it means I can keep my master alive, I'd do anything for that chance." I spoke in a weak dry tone. The man smiled and snapped his finger's.
"Then I entrust you with the chance on changing the future. Another thing, you'll be in a genjutsu when you arrive...so don't panick if you're being held down. Another thing, I'll be sending Sasuke and a few other surprises after I've sent you. Remember, this is the past and I'm counting on you six to change the future for the better."
"Six, who else will join me?" I ask.
"You'll find out soon enough." The man snapped his fingers again before I could give him an answer, my mind went blank but soon after I heard shouting and what sounded like fighting. Was someone fighting? I thought to myself.
