Poem 1: Crestfallen Dame

A crestfallen dame walks through the garden with tears,

With her heart being unclear,

A clear reflection of all the fears.

It was too much for her to bear,

The pain given by the love of her heart,

Making her all despair.

A crestfallen dame, walks through a garden being all lame

With winds whistling and flowers grinning,

Endeavoring to hearten her,

And vanish her heart's burning flame.

A crestfallen dame, walks through the garden under the moonlight,

Roaming in the dark, when something catches her eyes' arc,

When she spots a rose, chuckling in the dark,

Looking different yet beautiful standing in the flare

With its alluring scent wide in the air,

Urging her to stop and ask the rose there, "Why do you smile?"

The pain we share is somehow the same, says the rose cheering the dame,

The crestfallen dame smiles at the flower shining in the lane,

Being the beauty besides the pain.

Admiring its quality of standing with thorns,

Makes it orphic despite its flaws.

Yet fears like rose, will anyone love her accepting her thorns?

From the poem:

"A rose cannot exist without the thorns."

It is truly said by someone that no one is perfect.

Everyone has flaws and we should

love people the way they are

instead of expecting them to be perfect and flawless.

We should learn from the rose to be beautiful by heart and have beauty

with virtue.

Before someone else accepts us, we should accept our

imperfections and love ourselves the way we are.
