*I know, sort of a boring chapter but I'd like to commit to my stories and put some background information into it, instead of heading straight to the exciting part. To be honest, that's my opinion of writing a story. Please no hate for admitting this.*
November 18, 2003, 12:00(12:00 pm) -
Luka: So, will it be a yes or no?
Tom & Sabine: Definitely a yes!
Luka: Alright then! Let's head down to the station so you can sign the paperwork for the full adoption of Marinette and confirmation of my training.
Tom: Okay then, let's go.
Tom, Sabine, Luka and Marinette then closed up shop for a bit and then walked to the car. Tom and Sabine then buckled both Marinette and Luka up and went down to the station to sign the adoption paperwork and Luka's confirmation of being allowed to train paperwork.
At The Police Station -
Tom, Sabine, Luka and Marinette: *Arrive at the station*
Nealson: Welcome, I assume you've made your decisions, and thank you for taking such great care of Marinette!
Sabine: Not a problem at all!
Nealson: Alright, please follow me into my office and we'll begin.
It is currently the 18th of November, 2003, 12:00(12:00 pm) and there are some officers who are still in the Police Station, but at the same time there are officers who are leaving at the end of the day. Tom, Sabine, Luka and Marinette are currently inside Nealson's new office and then began to talk.
Nealson: So! Are you ready to sign the adoption paperwork?
Tom and Sabine: *Nods*
Nealson: *Takes out the paperwork and places it on top of his desk, facing the opposite direction from him*
Nealson: Alright, Mr. and Mrs. Dupain-Cheng all you need to do is sign here and you'll be all set for Marinette.
Tom: *Signs*
Sabine: *Signs*
Nealson: Before I move onto Luka, if you don't mind me asking what's with the long faces?
Tom: Son, can you go ahead and take your sister while we have a chat?
Luka: Sure thing Papa!
Luka: *Grabs Marinette*
Luka: *Heads towards the play area*
Tom: So... The reason why we're upset is because of what happened to the Chief and Rick.
Nealson: So, Luka told you.
Sabine: Yes. Yes, he did.
Tom: With all due respect, I don't want my son getting into any trouble, I know that you'll protect him and all... It's just. Too confusing.
Nealson: Sir, your son had the same concerns for you guys as you do for him right now, but that's the reason why we need his help, because he is capable of many incredible things.
Sabine: Incredible things?
Nealson: Your son is very observant, cautious and incredibly intelligent. He is what we need to solve many of our cases. While you two were with Marinette that day when the Chief privately spoke to Luka, your son helped him fix his computer, gave him some clues to cases, etc. That's why the Chief chose Luka, because he deserves this.
