Charles POV

"Remember when Eden made breakfast for everyone?" Whit asked as he linked our arms and dragged me to the kitchen

I expected the physical touch to bother me but for some reason I felt comfortable with it. This killing game was really starting to get to my head, either that or I'm just extremely sleep deprived.

"Of course I remember, that was a mere 2 days ago." I responded somewhat bothered that he would ask that question as if I wouldn't remember it

"Well how about we do the same!!! There's been a lot of tension recently so this may help relieve some of it!"

he seemed so excited about the idea, I didn't have the heart to turn him down

"Okay, but i don't think it'll relieve tension like you intend for it to, if anything it may cause more. Everyone's distrusting of one another, I highly doubt they'd be willing to try our food in the first place and even if they did group meals always end up bad."

"You can think of it that way but I'll think of it my way, if things go poorly we can just blame monoTV!!! Plus what's the worst that can happen from something as simple as breakfast?"

I heave a sigh as I let him drag me around as he gets all the necessary ingredients and utensils

"Okay, how about we make omelettes!!!"

Whit was smiling ear to ear a shade of light pink covering his cheeks, I kept telling myself I was doing this out of boredom but deep inside I was worried there was another reason I chose to hang out with him instead of going back sleep.

"Fine by me, I personally don't care whatever we make as long as it's edible." I was never much of a picky eater and plus we were in the middle of a killing game, I don't have time to complain about what I end up eating as long as it's not poisonous or inedible.

"So you wouldn't mind if I made spaghetti with syrup???"

"What no that's disgusting" the thought of that alone was enough to make me feel nauseous, Whits imagination always managed to surprise me

"What! Have you seriously never watched elf???" Whit exclaimed as if I had just said the most shocking thing he's heard in his life, he seems more surprised by this then he did by Xanders death which honestly isn't saying a lot. Whit doesn't seem easily fazed by this killing game unlike everyone else, or maybe that's what he wants everyone to think.

"What are you talking about, what's 'elf'"

"No way!!! Have you been living under a rock?! Elf is this amazing Christmas movie, it has comedy and romance you really need to watch it!!!"

It bothered me how things that seem to be common knowledge to others are things I'm completely unaware about, I've started to realize that I was sheltered as a kid, I don't even know how to properly take care of myself it's embarrassing.

"Unimportant things like movies aren't worth my time, especially sappy Christmas ones that have no real meaning to them."

My words didn't match my thoughts, before I would have been able to say that with confidence but now I know I'm wrong, that there are things as little as stupid movies that I wish I could've had as a child.

"Boo, don't be boring, once we get out of here I promise to have a movie night with you and have you watch elf"

I'm envious of how confident he is that we'll both get out of here. I might be able to get out alive with my intellectual level but I can't say that with full confidence since I was already taken advantage of once, and as for Whit, for some reason I don't want to think of the possibility of him not making it out alive. It caused a strange strain in my heart, i'm probably just getting sick, wouldn't be surprising with the amount of germs that are most likely in here.

"Didn't you want to make breakfast, if we want it to be ready by the time everyone gets up we should start rather than talking about unnecessary things like movie nights."

"Although I disagree that movie nights are an unnecessary topic you're right that we should start."

I was going to cut him off and explain how movies are unnecessary and unhelpful, especially in our situation, but he immediately started talking once again.

"Okay!!! First things first we're going to crack some eggs into the bowl!! Here you try!!"

Whit passed me an egg and I followed his movement hitting it lightly against the sides of the bowl and letting the yolk fall through, it was satisfying to watch.

"Now that all of the eggs are in the bowl we should add some salt and pepper for seasoning otherwise the omelette will taste bland and gross!"

Whit then grabbed the salt and handed me the pepper

"Do it lightly though, too much and it'll be spicy!"

I had to look up from what I was doing and was struggling to contain a sigh

"There is no way you just called salt and pepper spicy."

I fought the urge to face palm at his stupidity

He ignored what I said and put in some of the salt lightly and I followed suit only adding a little bit of pepper

"Perfect!!! Let's get the pan ready now, we're going to use the olive oil to coat the pan!!!"

I passed him the olive oil and watched him carefully coat the pan perfectly, it felt oddly nice to watch

"We should put it on medium heat, eggs cook pretty fast so putting it on high won't be necessary!"

He then proceeded to tell me about the basic things that can go into omelets such as cheese, mushrooms, onions but we decided on keeping those things on the side in case of allergies

The one thing we didn't want is to become an accidental culprit due to causing an allergic reaction.

"Okay our first omelette is ready, just 13 more to go!!!"

I yawned the tiredness finally getting to me but looking at the omelette I felt a sense of pride from seeing our work.
