━────In a spacious room that serves the purpose of the Supreme Council's meeting, loud voices that stem from an argument could be heard.
"How absurd! The light turns to the dark for protection — Have you all gone completely insane?!"
"There is nothing we can do about it. It was foretold by the prophecy."
"That prophecy is obviously a lie! Who would believe such nonsensical foretelling. None but the light God could predict the future of humanity. All of you are being fooled by that Magus—"
Before that sentence could be finished, the sound of a light tap of a knuckle hitting against the table sounded in the Supreme Council's meeting room.
The temperature seemed to have dropped immensely when an almost melodic voice, calm and gentle, sounded.
"Silence."
The owner of the voice is a man with higher status. A man with an extreme exquisite face. His eyes held similarities with the vibrant hues of the seeting sun, dark yet bright at the same time. His face was set on the back of his palm while a gentle smile was hanging on his face.
Do not be fooled though, for everyone in the room knows the horror that lies beyond the gentleness of this man.
"I didn't call everyone to speculate the truth behind the prophecy given by the Supreme Magus. Unless you're willing to go against the church of light, you are strictly prohibited to speak any Ill-intentioned words, especially not to the Supreme Magus." The man leaned against his seat and crossed his leg over the other, "I called everyone here because something happened in the north."
The old man from a while ago frowned. "What happened?"
"Lexie, why don't you tell them? You're the one who knows the details clearly than I am." The man says, his soft voice could trickle one's ear.
Everyone turned their heads towards the woman seated besides the man. Her eyes were deep magenta, a characteristic inherited by the offspring of Aclanta Clan.
'This bastard-' Lexie thought but in her face, appeared a smile. She knew the man was just too lazy to speak, a trait that everyone knew. But still, who made this guy have the highest rank amongst them?
Clearing her throat, Lexie faced everyone in the round table and explained the situation calmly.
"It appears that the prophecy has already started."
Hearing that, everyone was alarmed. The prophecy which is hard to believe happened right after they were informed about it. It was obviously hard to accept, especially since the prophecy claimed that someone from the camp of evil will be the hope of humanity.
"Please, Commander Lexie, inform us of the whole situation." Carlos, the representative from the academy of light, spoke for the first time.
Lexie nodded. "An unknown disease suddenly spread out, covering the whole kingdom of Veana located in the north. The neighboring king also suffered, not from sickness, but from a sudden famine and thunderstorms. They couldn't get help from the Kingdom of Veana because of fear that the disease would enter their own Kingdom, therefore their commander set out. " Before everyone could give their reactions and thoughts, she continued. "The whole army was reduced to one person. Commander Earl, who remained the sole survivor of the army, told us that unidentified monsters appeared and started devouring everything."
The word 'Devouring monsters' is such a terrifying term for everyone.
In the whole world, monsters are rare existence in the human world. Yet here they are, now appearing.
It appears that the prophecy they couldn't accept is slowly becoming a reality.
Carlos stood up and faced everyone. His eyes sharp and determined. "Everyone, I think all of us thought of the same thing. Whether this 'prophecy' is ineed true or just a made up lie, we cannot gamble the safety of our race." Turning to the man in the middle, his eyes lowered. "Wouldn't you agree, your highness?"
The man with the exquisite face smiled brightly and nodded. He tapped the table and looked at everyone one by one. "Principal Carlos' words are spoken with obvious truth. It is by far, correct and I do agree with it. Are there any objections?"
No one spoke.
The noisy round table full of mighty people with ranking fell silent under the oppressive gaze of the man.
With no objections coming from anyone, the man finally stood up. He took out a silver platter that has a clear rhombus crystal and a dagger.
"Then, I'll make an order, of the highest kind."
The man picked up the dagger and cut his palm without hesitation. He hovered his injured hand above the crystal, letting his blood drip into it and slowly dyeing it scarlet.
Once the crystal is soaking with his own blood, the man started to chant.
"Oh divine light, course through me. Lend me your power."
Making a few hand movement, the crystal absorbed the blood and became scarlet. It glows and shines brightly, slowly floating in the air and stopping right in front of the man's very own eyes.
"Divine creation." The man said, finishing the chant. He placed both of his hands together and said, "I, Caspian Dela Vour, hereby ordered everyone who believes in light to search for the chosen one, at any cost. Bring her to the Castle of Eve, alive."
The crystal's glow slowly disappeared. Only, if one were to step outside and look up at the sky, they would see the stars replaced by scarlet dots twinkling as it covered the whole entirely of the sky.
After he finished creating the scarlet order, the smiling prince no longer geld a smile. He gazed upon the members of the Supreme council with coldness and spoke in a commanding tone.
"All of you may leave. Find the chosen one, as soon as possible."
Everyone stood up and bowed towards the man, respectfully they said.
"Yes your highness!"
