Playground conversations

We decided to go to the playground to stalk parents as our first victims. Although there arent many since it's almost dinner time.  "So what do your parents do for work?" I ask him, deciding that this is a better ice-breaking than nice abs.

"Oh-, um- they have a um- transport company, yeah." He stutters, very obviously lying. Maybe they're in the mafia, how funny would that be.

"I'm going to ignore that obvious lie, do you have any siblings?" I continue my interrogation.

"Are you FBI or something?" He chuckles nervously, "I have one brother but I haven't seen him in 2 years"

"Oh, do you mind telling me why?"

"Yes, now let's go, I don't think we'll see anything interesting at this time and I don't want to be late for dinner." He stands up and starts walking, not even waiting on me. Rude.

He walks me to the bus stop silently, I decided it isn't my job to start conversation. Apparently he thinks the same, since he doesn't say anything the entire walk (it's 2 minutes).

"Well bye!" I yell after him, because it looks like he isn't going to say anything. And it looks like I'm right. "That's just rude." I mutter to myself.

"So how was your date?" Melanie asks excited.

"It was great, till he decided I wasn't worth talking to anymore." I answer, "Seriously, he just walked away, no goodbye or anything."

"Omg rude, what a weirdo."
