1. Bound To Fall

   I used to be top one in the whole school, until he came I got switched to top 2. He always had this annoying smirk i could never stop seeing, he always outdid me on everything. I used to be good at everything spelling bee's, quizzes, texts, exams every thing. When he came it turned to hell for me all my achievements turned to second place. 

"Yeva, Are you okay? You seem dull." I snapped out of my depressed cloud of smoke. I looked at my friend who seemed worried, only focusing on the guy behind her talking to his friends with such confidence. I looked back at my friend who seemed to notice who i was staring at."Hey! Ev you really got to learn how to ignore him, your so smart but such a mess" I sighed when she finished talking. I was starting to realize she's right, I closed my book and started fixing my hair. I thought why I kept thinking about him when he was my enemy, God I hated him. "Yeah, you're right. I just can't get over the fact he beat me in the quiz bee."I said looking over the window while tying my hair up in a ribbon, reading a book while waiting for the teacher. My friend left as soon as the teacher went inside the room."Morning class, Just an announcement, there will be a new seating arrangement, so Junhan you go next to Yeva." Mrs. Yin announced, He went beside me and winked at me. I was surely annoyed but i didn't dare protest since i didn't wanna cause trouble. While the teacher was discussing another boring lesson, When i was writing notes, I stopped, then i was looking at the guy beside me. I hated how much he occurred in my imagination, i hated how smart he was, i hated how he always beat me in everything

, Even tho he didn't even care about studying, i hated everything about him. "I know you're staring, Laude." He said in a cold tone that made me shiver, he was looking at me with a dark gaze. I rolled my eyes, focusing on my notes pretending to write. "Okay class, that will be all but before we end I have a quiz i want you all to answer." The teacher said while the class groaned since most of them were busy talking to their friends, or using their phone while the teacher was busy. Mrs. Yin gave out the quizzes to all the students, when she gave it to me I made sure to get a score higher than him just so that i could see his smug smile disappear. I tried really hard to ace the quiz. When everyone finished, the teacher marked it and gave it back. I looked at my quiz and I got an 18 out of 20. I looked at Han and asked him "Hey.. What did you-" "I got 20." He said smirking looking at me up and down, my eyes widened still holding eye contact i was surprised because he didn't even listen to the teacher he just played with his pen and doodled on his desk. He looked at my quiz score and started humming not even removing that smirk off his face, before breaking eye contact. The class ended, I was with my friend, Mira. While she was talking to me i was still in shock, i had a feeling with a spark of jealousy.
