Luka, Mr. Ramier, and Igglepiggle rushed after Manon, with Mr. Ramier's pigeons flying alongside them. "Manon, we need to stay together," reminded Luka. "Especially now that we know there's an akuma attack going on."

Manon stopped and apologized for nearly taking off. "I just really wanna find Marinette before Kissy Daisy kisses her!"

"She does have a point," said Mr. Ramier. "Now that she's akumatized, anyone Miss Daisy kisses can be placed under a spell, which will make them kiss other people and things without being able to stop!"

Igglepiggle used the pencil and a second piece of paper from Luka (the first had run out of writing space) to ask his human friends a question: Why would Upsy Daisy listen to Shadow Moth if he's a mean person? What made her feel upset to begin with?

Manon held his hand. "You know how Upsy likes kissing everything and everyone she sees? Well, the grownups here say it's only okay to kiss someone if they're in your family, or if you're that person's boyfriend or girlfriend. But Upsy didn't know that, so when she kissed a lot of people and they didn't want her to kiss them, they got really mad at her."

"I saw Officer Roger try to arrest her earlier," added Mr. Ramier. "He...how do I say this in front of a child...he thinks she's a person who can't think clearly and deserves to be locked up in a scary place forever. When really, all she needs is to just simply be told when it's okay to kiss others. Ladybug and a woman in the park tried to tell Officer Roger that, but he didn't listen and tried to lock Upsy in his car. He kept grabbing her by the wrist so she couldn't escape him, and telling her that she wasn't allowed to kiss anything ever again. I wasn't exactly happy with her at that moment, but I still couldn't help noticing the fear and hurt in her eyes. She was clearly so scared and upset that it was too much for her to handle. That's exactly the kind of negativity that makes someone a target for an akuma."

While Igglepiggle fell down on his back in surprise, Luka gulped nervously, already knowing who the woman in the park was despite her only being mentioned in the story briefly. His mother had said she was going to save Upsy just before leaving the houseboat, and she was among the few people in Paris who would dare talk back to Officer Roger with no signs of any fear. If Anarka had been present when Upsy was akumatized, that probably meant she'd been kissed—a thought that only increased Luka's determination to find Marinette and stop Kissy Daisy.

"Let's try looking in the place where Upsy first got akumatized," the teenage musician decided.

"That was Place Des Vosges," said Mr. Ramier. "Come on, follow me."

Igglepiggle got back up, and with Mr. Ramier leading the way, the group headed to the park. Once there, they didn't find Kissy Daisy or Marinette, but they did find Anarka and Officer Roger. Both of them were kissing everything in the park, which didn't surprise anyone. Still, Luka got worried when he saw his fear had been confirmed and rushed toward his mother. "Mom! Are you okay?"

"What does it look like?" Anarka retorted in frustration. She kissed one of the fence rails and added, "And if you're still trying to get Upsy out of trouble, she's in an even worse situation now."

"We know," said Manon. "But don't worry. We found Upsy's friend-that's-also-her-boyfriend, and he's helping us. His name is Igglepiggle, and...hey! I just said part of the song!" Then she began to sing, and in response, Igglepiggle started to dance again. "Yes, his name is Igglepiggle—"

"We get it," interrupted Officer Roger. He kissed the fence and a horse on the merry-go-round before adding, "Oh man, I've got to get that girl who won't stop kissing everything behind bars."

"No, you've got to leave her be!" Anarka yelled, right after her lips parted from a piece of grass left on the pavement.

Roger glared at her and started to argue with her again, but before he could utter a word, he had to bend down and kiss a flower growing in the grass. Then he got back up and managed to overcome his kissing urges long enough to tell her, "Besides, she's not even going to let you help her out of this. Ladybug tried taking your side by simply reasoning with her, thinking she would understand that it's not always okay to kiss someone! And she didn't listen! Clearly she doesn't understand the law and never will!"
