Of the twelve years of exile of the Pandavas, Arjun spent five years in his father Lord Indra's domain, mastering celestial weapons, and apparently making himself really popular in Heaven (a trifle more popular than he'd have wanted, perhaps: looking at you, Urvashi). Indra even shared his throne with Arjun, an honour no mortal has ever been bestowed. He ended the stay at Heaven with a brilliant fight against a demon army as a favour to the gods. And when he returned to earth, he found all his favourite people--his four brothers, his wife, and his best friend and soulmate having come to receive him.

Krishna, meeting him after so long, gives us one of the most heartwarming moments of the epic.

"And he embraced Arjuna of the curly hair; and spoke words of solace to the daughter of Drupada. And the descendant of the chief of the Dasaraha tribe, that chastiser of foes, when he saw the beloved Arjuna come near him, having seen him after a length of time, clasped him again and again."

I can't imagine how much Madhav and Parth had missed each other, how they had even survived those five years.

So here, I record Arjun's stay at Heaven through a series of imaginary letters between him and his soulmate.
