katsuki bakugo grumbled as his alarm clock blared loudly, startling him awake. he rubbed the sleep from his eyes and glanced over at his girlfriend, who was still fast asleep beside him.
"hey, wake up, we're gonna be late for school," he said, nudging her gently.
his girlfriend groaned and rolled over, burying her face in the pillows. "five more minutes," she mumbled.
katsuki sighed and got out of bed, stretching his arms and legs as he did so. "fine, but we're gonna have to hurry if we're gonna make it in time for first period," he said.
he quickly got dressed and gathered his school supplies, all while trying to wake his girlfriend up. after several failed attempts, he resorted to more drastic measures.
"katsuki, what the hell?!" his girlfriend exclaimed as he dumped a bucket of cold water on her.
"you wouldn't wake up," he said with a shrug.
his girlfriend glared at him, but quickly got dressed and gathered her things. they hurried out the door and started running towards the school.
"i can't believe we're gonna be late on the first day back," katsuki grumbled.
"it's not my fault," his girlfriend retorted. "you're the one who hit snooze five times."
"katsuki, look out!" his girlfriend yelled suddenly, pointing ahead of them.
katsuki looked up just in time to avoid running into a lamppost. he stumbled to a stop and glared at his girlfriend.
"you could have warned me sooner," he said.
"i did warn you," she said, laughing.
they finally made it to the school, but were met with locked doors and empty hallways.
"great, now we're not just late, we're super late," katsuki said, throwing his hands up in frustration.
his girlfriend put a hand on his shoulder. "hey, at least we're in this together," she said with a grin.
katsuki rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but smile. "yeah, i guess you're right," he said.
they spent the rest of the day catching up on missed work and dodging their teacher's scolding. but as they walked home together, they couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculousness of their morning.
"we're never gonna be late again," katsuki said, determination in his voice.
