Staring out over the wreckage of Flevance, I found myself in tears.
It was horrible. All those poor, innocent people burning and dying.
Amber Lead Syndrome wasn't even contagious! Why, why would the World Government do something like this?!
I almost vomited at the sight, but stopped myself by turning my back on the kingdom I once called home and running away.
As I ran, I stared down at my trembling white spotted hands.
This disease that we of the 'White City' had... Perhaps it was a blessing that we were being eradicated.
At some point, I collapsed in the snow.
With a sob, I turned onto my back to stare up at the moon.
How could it be so beautiful on such a night as this?
I found myself staring at my hands once more. The white patches were slowly creeping along and obscuring the deeply tanned skin that every child of the kindgdom is born with.
I was twenty-three at the time. I only had seven more years left until the disease took me.
I prayed to god for the souls of all those in the city.
Hopefully, I was the last to die...
