[SPOILER WARNING FOR THIS STORY OT YOU WOUKD WANT TO READ IT]
Law was crying as we waited in the large treasure chest.
Corazon was just outside talking to his brother.
"I love you guys!" His goofy smile and those last words played over and over again in my head.
I touched my lips. It had been the first and last kiss he had ever given me...
My thoughts moved to the child in my arms and I pulled him onto my lap.
"Shh... Shh..." I tried to calm Law down by holding him, but I felt like crying as well.
It was then that we heard the gunshots.
I gasped and Law began crying even more, but, judging on how nobody came to get us, I assumed that Corazon must have still been alive.
Silent tears slid down my face as some sort of commotion came from outside and the trunk we were hidden in was lifted up roughly only to be dropped a few seconds later.
The lid flew open and we tumbled out into the snow.
I looked back, noticing that the pirates were running off at the thought of the marines. But there was one man that stayed, one that I hated more than anyone.
"Go." I snarled at Law, hatred consuming my very being.
The child grasped at my coat with trembling hands, tears freezing on his face. "No! Don't go! Don't-"
"JUST GO!"
Law's eyes widened in fear. I had never shouted at him before now.
I pulled him away from me and gave him a push away from the carnage. "GO!"
The child didn't need to be told again. He turned and began trudging through the snow as fast as he could.
I turned my back to him and ran to Corazon, the wind blowing my hat off and allowing my hair to spill out behind me.
The man in the pink coat was walking away when I finally got to Corazon's side.
"HEY!" I screamed, stopping the man in his tracks.
Corazon looked up at me with wide eyes, silently pleading for me to stop. I didn't pay attention to him as I knelt and grabbed a pistol from the snow next to him.
Donquixote Doflamingo turned to look at me, one eyebrow raised above pink tinted shades.
Tears began streaming out of my eyes as I raised the gun up and aimed at his head, my hands shaking.
Doflamingo just scowled, then raised a hand and moved his fingers in a way I didn't understand.
I let out a gasp as my body suddenly stiffened. My arm moved without my consent, bringing the nose of the gun up into my mouth and my finger on the trigger.
Tears poured down my face as I pressed the gun further against the roof of my mouth.
My finger pulled the trigger just as I heard Corazon's voice shouting my name.
I waited for the pain and the darkness, only to hear a click.
The gun wasn't loaded...
The stiffness in my body slackened and I immediately pulled the gun out of my mouth and vomited.
Doflamingo let out a scowl, then held up the gun he had shot Corazon with.
"You can die with him." He stated, then pulled the trigger.
My relief was short lived as I felt the hot bullet slide through my abdomen and out the other side.
With wide eyes I collapsed to my knees in front of Corazon.
Blood dripped from my mouth and I heard Corazon call my name again as another bullet stabbed through me.
I screamed at the pain, but refused to move. Refused to give him the satisfaction.
Doflamingo pulled the trigger one more time, but scowled as he realized he was out of bullets
At his subordinates' urdgings, the large man turned and jumped back to his ship, leaving Corazon and I to bleed out in the snow.
I heard Corazon spit out a curse and I turned my head to face him, only to be shocked with cold and pain as he shoved handfuls of snow up my shirt, pressing tightly against the wounds on my torso and back.
The snow froze in only a few short seconds, leaving at temporary plug for my wounds.
I gasped as he collapsed once again, shouting out in pain, but one hand remained locked upon my wrist like a vice.
"Get up..." Corazon hissed, blood dripping from the sides of his mouth "You can't leave him alone... So get up, damn it!"
The tears froze on my face as I gasped for air. "Come with me!"
