The church bells ring a soulful tune while my older sister is being wedded for all of the sweet man's wealth. Yes you heard me correctly I basically called my own sister a gold digger; which sadly she is one. It all started six months ago at a New Years Eve business party that my father threw together. The goal of the party was to get investors for his new invention.
In a way my sister Pricilla and Mom are part of the entertainment for the party. My sister loves to sings when she isn't talking with all of the bachelors; so that is what she does at all of the parties. My mom on the other hand can't sing to save her life, and so she distracts all of the women with talk of furniture and other such things while my father has business discussions which I usually take part in because I am the most business literate next to Dad. It was during this time that Pricilla engaged in a conversation with a very wealthy man by the name of Collin Reed. Collin Reed is the CEO of WMS inc. which is the newest thriving business in the Boston, New York area. Ever since Mr. Reed came to the area Pricilla has had her eyes set on him and his money.
After the party Pricilla and Collin started to see each other, and for six months this went on with Collin buying her expensive gifts and taking her to extravagant restaurants. It was during January that Collin proposed to my very expensive sister. She ordered everything that she wanted and he gave no complaints. He loves her without a doubt, but I know that what Pricilla loves is his money, not him.
So here we are on their wedding day with all of the extras and more. Pricilla is wearing a one of a kind strapless white designer dress with her brand new 20k diamond necklace. She even got diamonds put into her veil; she also got a diamond tiara so she looked like a princess. The wedding theme colors consist of the traditional white with rosy red pink (aka pinkish red).
I have no idea why Collin fell for my sister, but he did and now the pastor is getting to the "I Dos". "Do you Pricilla Jane Evans take Collin Johnathan Reed to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?" Pastor Joe asks Pricilla. "I do" Pricilla replies while looking deeply into Collin's eyes; or at least that's what it looks like to Collin and everyone else. "And do you Collin Johnathan Reed take Pricilla Jane Evans to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?" Pastor Joe asks again to Collin. "I do with all my heart" Collin says back with so much adoration as he looks at Pricilla.
With the "I dos" said and done everybody starts clapping and cheering for the newly wed couple, and blessing their marriage. Both of the families are so pleased with the marriage and are expecting me to marry just as well as Pricilla, and soon even though I am only nineteen. I watch with everyone as Pricilla and Collin get into his black BMW. Everyone waves as the newly weds ride off towards the airport for their honeymoon in the Bahamas. And now for me to endure 'the family' for goose knows how long.
