VI - Havana

Pirates were not known for fighting wars, in fact, they ran away from them all. But everything changed when a member of their order was threatened. With the alliance of the English with the kingdom of Sokovia, the pirates were in danger. They then found themselves in a position, which was to fight for justice.

On the other side, while sending letters to the other pirates, Jack and Anne found out other things about Wanda's father. They found out that Erik was kidnapping children, whom he believed to have supernatural gifts. When Jack told Edward, only one thought came into the man's head.

Who would tell you and Wanda?

You were happy, you had settled down, you were having a good time together, Edward didn't want to spoil it. He liked to see you happy, he hadn't seen you like this for a long time. Of everyone there, only Anne knew what was happening between you, intimately, maybe Edward suspected, but he wasn't sure of the facts.

When the first stories were confirmed by letters, it was Anne who decided to break the news. She would need to break the news to you away from Wanda, but you two seemed more connected than anyone else there.

Anne walked to your tent, noticing you and Wanda sleeping, she decided to wait outside for a while until you came out. Anne knew, that she had to tell you first, because Wanda would change her perception of her father.

When you awoke that afternoon, you kissed Wanda's forehead as she slept peacefully beside you. You stroked her face with your fingers lightly, so as not to wake her, just to watch her sleep. There was a small smile from her that made your heart soar in your chest. It was a good feeling of peace.

You took a while to get up, but when you did, you put on your clothes and put your sword into its sheath. You remembered that you had promised Anne that you would train with her, you just hoped that she wasn't mad at you, since it had taken you a while to get up. Leaving the tent, you noticed Anne sitting down, sharpening her own sword, a strange feeling ran through your body, as you noticed her blank stare.

"Hey." You said, catching her attention, who only looked at you. "Is everything okay?"

"We need to talk." Anne said.

Wanda had had good nights of sleep before, but not as amazing as those. She might not be in her castle, sleeping on her comfortable mattress, but sleeping next to the one she was learning to love was a wonderful feeling.

When she awoke, she ran her hand along the side where she was looking for you, and felt only the sand moving under the cloth. She sat up on the cloth and noticed you sitting there looking at her. She cracked a smile that didn't last long, as she saw that your face had a cold, empty expression.

"Dragostea mea, is everything alright?" Wanda asked worriedly.

"Hello, my princess, there is something you need to know." As you said the words, Wanda felt her own body tense up. "It is traveling news across the seas, where informants have told us that your father is kidnapping children." You paused, watching Wanda's face turn completely surprised. "Children who he believes may have special gifts."

Wanda, soon, seemed to realize what this was all about. She remembered, that in the last few months, in Sokovia, many children began to appear, but few pregnant women. She, being a princess, had never dared to question what was going on. Where did the children come from and how? Sokovia was a small kingdom, so the number of children was not proportional.

She let out a sigh, ran her hand through her hair, and didn't dare look at you. Wanda knew that her father's attitudes would bring consequence, not only to the kingdom but also to her.

"What are you going to do?" She asked, even though she already knew what his answer would be.

"The kingdoms are covering up the situation, so the council is inciting war." You answered her, trying to meet her gaze that remained distant. "I needed to tell you, before I went to the meeting."
