It's a beautiful evening, the sun is setting, and the sky has turned into a warm pink color. There's a soft breeze appearing from time to time and the birds are chirping in their nests. Inazuma's atmosphere is so comforting, I never feel this calm anywhere else in Teyvat.

I'm sitting on the steps leading up to Sangonomiya Shrine looking out over Watasumi island. Some anemo and geo specters are flying around on the ground and there's a few Kairagi sitting down minding their own business. Even though I wouldn't dare to go down there by my own it still feels like the island wouldn't be the same without them.

There are some faint voices talking in the distance, but I don't pay attention to what they're saying, I'm too busy looking at the lovely landscape. I take a deep breath and the cool air fills my lungs. I close my eyes for a moment and take in all the sounds I hear. The bird's singing, the people talking and the sound of waves hitting the shores below me. A small smile is forming on my lips, I could sit here for the rest of my life. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the prettiest place in all of Teyvat.

After sitting down for about an hour I hear more voices behind me and they were getting louder, though they seemed to say their goodbyes to each other. I can tell it's a woman and a man but I avoid looking at them. I don't wanna do something embarrassing. The woman is talking about going back into the shrine, but I don't know what the guy plans on doing. I also don't really care since they have nothing to do with me. I try to block out their voices and give the island my attention again, I only came here to calm down, not to listen in on peoples private conversations.

I sat on the steps for another five minutes and I didn't even notice that the talking had stopped. I had been in my own world not thinking about anything around me, well, that was until a tap on my right shoulder took me back to reality. I jumped slightly and quickly looked around to see who it was.

"Hello, you've been sitting here all alone for a while, is everything okay?" A soft voice asked.

It was the guy from before, I heard it on his voice. From the first glance I guessed he was a Shiba Inu, considering his fluffy ears and tail. He was quite short with blue eyes and light brown hair with some white accents. The clothing revealed his slim stomach, and honestly, he was pretty cute.

"Oh hi don't worry about me, I enjoy sitting here by myself sometimes." I said with a small smile.

He smiled back and scratched his ear before talking again.

"I see, do you mind if I sit here with you for a moment?" He said with a faint red tone appearing on his cheeks.

I was taken by surprise by his question, I have a hard time talking to people i've just met and therefore I haven't made many friends on my travels. So I'm not really used to people talking to me, and especially not good looking guys.

"N-no not at all, sit down." I said.

"Thank you, I really need to relax a bit after this day."

"Did something happen?" I asked after seeing the troubled look on his face.

"No not really, I'm just very busy with work at the moment." He said.

I nodded and we sat together in silence for a few minutes, I thought it would feel awkward but the silence was really comforting. He was definitely a person I could get along with.

"So, what's your name?" He asked breaking the silence.

"Right i haven't told you yet." I said a bit embarrassed. "I'm y/n, and your name is?"

"Gorou, looking at you tells me you're not from Inazuma so i doubt you've heard of me before." He answered.

"Oh are you like famous?"

He chuckled. "No I wouldn't say famous, I think I'd rather say i'm well known around this nation."

"I see, that's cool." I smiled.

We sat together until the sun was completely gone from the sky and the moon was getting visible. It had been so nice talking to him, he was a great listener and it was easy keeping a conversation going with him, which was something i usually struggled at doing. The island was almost completely quiet now, no people were outside and the birds had stopped singing. The only sound being made was the waves down by the lakes.

"Okay I think I'll head back now, I need the rest for tomorrows work. It was lovely talking to you y/n." Gorou said with an even softer voice.

I looked at him and nodded. "Yeah it was very nice." I said smiling.

He looked back at me and we made eye contact, "Let's meet here the same time tomorrow, I want to talk to you more."

"Okay, see you then." I said. I was so happy he wanted to see me again, maybe I can finally make a good friend.

I was laying in my bed trying to sleep, it was almost 2 am but I didn't feel tired at all. Usually I fall asleep right as my head hits the pillow, but tonight there was one thing keeping my mind awake. Gorou. He was so sweet, it really felt like he cared about what I said and he was always so nice and thoughtful. His ears and tail looked so soft too. Maybe I can ask if I can touch them tomorrow. Hopefully that wound't be a weird thing to bring up.

Whenever I closed my eyes I pictured him sitting with me on those stairs, looking out at the wonderful nature. I couldn't help but feel a bit flustered thinking about him. He did look quite good, and the fact that his shirt barely covers his chest makes him look even better. I really can't wait to see him again tomorrow.
